from what i have been told the council opens the ground for public use on friday....

so I am led to believe that the game will be on the main oval..

blues12 when will you start useing your ground... are you training on it yet or not? guys how much will riddell win by this week? there could be records set!

Hey IMS, Mongrel, B12, TBR or anyone else from roo land, just wondering, what ground are we playing on this saturday?

The ground would have been available to play on 2 weeks ago but we arranged with the council to keep it closed for another 2 weeks. The Ground will definetly be open this friday, It was mowed yesterday and will be line marked tomorrow. We are still yet to train on it (next tuesday), Saturday will be the first run on the ground. The ground looks magnificent, but is still a little patchy but it's the best it has ever been, it is soft under foot and hopefully we will not get too much rain and we don't chop it up too much. The weather is meant to be fine, so it should be a great day.
The boys are very keen to finally get out there and have a hit out on our home turf, and to be honest i can't wait.:)

Anyone got scores and best players from last night?

Unfortunately the boys went down by about 75 points or so.. Best players were Jaime Michael, Dylan Murphy, Kris Preston, Stu Clarke, Ben Shippard.

Was a good effort from the boys, the WRFL guys were just too big and strong in the end, but with a whole bunch of young guys in the side it was a great effort..

:thumbsu:

Seems that you didn"t go too the last game you ________.The game is alcohol free.Which is not such a bad thing these days.

Actually Digger52 I was there for the first game and last night. Did you pull on your little pink coat, beenie and gloves for the chill of last night?

Bad luck for the RDFL boys last night, Presto in my mind was BOG and presented well.

Preston didnt play all that well. Best was Stu Clarke easily in my opinion....
Also the RDFL boys were unclucky to lose Myles Dorman Aka Mark Coughlan before the bounce with a torn hamstring.

My opinion was that the two mentioned as best were best.. Young Dylan Murphy and Jamie Michael were clear best on ground for the RDFL.

See Kilmore FC are selling their pink jumpers they wore on ANZAC Day to support the Breast Cancer Foundation. Are the proceeds from the sales going to the charity or the club?

The riddell/sam young double must be fairly short now.

Riddell just taking it 1 week at a time.....

Sam Young slotted in very nicely thank you very much too, & playing very good footy. But I think to many other players that are proven vote getters may be taking votes off him, ie - Lee James, Juzzy Belleville, Mick Allen, Peter Robertson & Aaron Blade.

Not to mention the fact that I was astonished to discover our men in orange have actually been able to award votes to players in teams that have been beaten by 20 goals +. Go figure !

Tips for Round 8.

Diggers to smart & experienced for the Macedon lineup, but they will learn from games like this one. Diggers by 15 pts.

Romsey to be shown tomorrow just how far they have to improve to be a force this season in their first REAL test against the Woodend Machine. Hawkers by 66 pts.

Riddell to prevail over Rockbank tomorrow, but I don’t think the margin will be as large as their last 4 victories or as many people believe. Bombers by 58 pts.

Wallan v Melton game should be a cracker, in a toss of the coin I’m tipping Wallan to get up at home by 3 pts.

Kangas, Kangas, Kangas, what are yooos doing this season ? I cant catch you on the punt! So I guess this will mean another loss. Lancefield to go down by 16 pts.

Good Luck Everyone.

I would like to know where you get your information from, as votes are suppose to be under lock and key until the Bowen night.

if you have been to the Bowen medal night, you would be well aware the votes arent under lock and key as the leaderboards need to be done up on the computer before hand - going by the speed that scores are posted on the website - im pretty sure they dont knock them up on the spot :D:D:D

Diggers scoreboard what a discrace, as is no. 6 who runs like a 89 year old who just crapped himself.

Good game of footy to watch today though between Diggers & Cats.

The overheads are prepared by the league administration with the assistance of one umpire.

Yes what do you mean it is a discrace.
Good game all day.Best player was Craig Thompson.
Macedon were very good today ,but the Man of the Moment C.Laurie chimed in when it was needed.

Matt...you have gone very quiet on Central Sport.

Predictions and odds please, Bowen medal etc.
great game at wallan today magpies down by 28pts at halfime..dont know what was in the drinks at half time but a differnt side came onto the park and paid dividends to see wallan home by 8pts

Called into Diggers after being being at Rockbank wanting to see a CONTEST game. Arrived to see second half & parked on wing opposite clubrooms, game was a ripper...... would have been even more exciting if us spectators over there could actually read & know how close the scores were ! That scoreboard really does need an upgrade urgently.

You could hardly call it spiteful. Wheelahan had a sleep during the third quarter after copping a shirtfront & there were two send offs, one for each team. One was for striking (Melton) and one for language (Wallan). Apart from that there were no melees of note.
