Re: R.d.f.l Thread 2008

While I got you there George, I wonder mate could you give me who you thought was Macedons best player Yesterday please ?
Am having a bit of a disagreement about it with a certain outspoken CAT who shall remain nameless !
Not knowing many of your players I'm going to have to agree with what was said in the rooms after the game. Dettmann was clearly one of the best but I also thought Christiansen was outstanding. Who did you think Omni? And what did the outspoken cat think?

For mine young "Nipper" Wright was clearly Best then Daylight, the CAT went Dettman.
But I got a feeling he just wants the POINTS !

Diggers Beat Rockbank by 7gls .But take away Diggers 1st quarter & Rockbank actually kept pace with them.I honestly think that if any side takes Rockbank for granted ,they will pay a heavy price of losing 4 points .When do they look like getting home games.
Ressies saw Mick (conc) Sheahan play his 300 game for the club,@ qtr time mick had 3 goals already.I am lead to believe that mick played 123 games @ sunbury before he came to the burra ,so that must be getting close to league record .Had a good night @ the Diggers Hotel last Night .
18s travelling along ok at the moment another good win yesterday.

Yes they were also a little undisciplined but i'm sure you'll agree omni, they were very stiff with some of the 50m penalties. Macedon player takes a mark, Centrals player holds him up, bang 50m penalty. Firstly, its not bloody AFL and the umpires simply wanted to be known in this game. Ive never seen an umpire pay these 50's until yesterday. I'll be asking the question on Monday. And secondly, if they were going to call these 50m penalties not once did they warn Centrals players yet Macedon players were warned plenty of times. If they're going to call it and set the trend early, then do it for the rest of the game.
This exact issue was raised at training on wednesday night, if any player who is not in the marking contest attempts to hold up another player after the mark by grabbing his jumper a 50m penalty will be awarded. Umpires will be a tad more lenient when the player was in the marking contest and grabs the jumper.

As a moderator, do you do this on all threads? Because last time I checked you don't. There is far more crap on other league threads you should be worried about. I don't agree with oneeyedblue and some of the stuff he said, but what he said is fairly tame compared to the other drivel that is said on BF.

To be honest... What is it to you??? I will treat each board to its own.. Especially our own to keep it clean... If you have a problem with this you should request a holiday.. Which the post above is just about doing... I tend to try to make sure everything is fact, which some others dont tend to do.. Do we need to be reminded of our after game speech Matthew?

Oh.. And what would you know what I do as a moderator.. Again, maybe, just maybe, have a quick look and check the FACTS and then come back and talk to me.

I'm all for cutting down on the amount of pointless crap that is said on these threads, and love the fact you stamp out trolls on the RDFL forum, but everyone is entitled to an opinion and I don't think what oneeyedblue said was too bad compared to some of the other stuff that is on BigFooty. Just because the league are investigating it, doesn't mean we can't talk about it.

You're correct about the after game speech on Anzac Day, I would like to publicly apologise to Bobby Johnson for not mentioning his name as one of the better players, and to take back my praise for Housey, who did not get a kick! :p

Fair enough I have no issue with the rule, I have an issue with communication. Warnings were given to Macedon players in the first half of the game while Melton players were given 50's. Goes both ways. Also, if this was discussed at training and you are going to crack down on it, why weren't the clubs notified?

Your such a halfwit, for a bloke the gets paid to write stuff, your a joke...... Sometimes doing the team things aren't always about getting a kick, then again you don't play in a team or have mates, so we wouldn't expect you to understand!

What do you think about our lack of small crumbing forwards as quoted by one M. Nichols, they happened to just win the game for us tool!

Exactly why we cant talk about it... BigFooty is no place for the information to come out.. It should come out in the correct forum, and BigFooty is not the correct forum.

Firstly, my surname is spelt Nicholls.

Secondly, I gave your small crumbing forwards my votes, where were they against Romsey?

Thirdly, who did you play on?
