True, TAC clubs do follow these sorts of games and it may open some doors for players who have previously gone unnoticed due to interleague games only consisting of 24 players a side. Therefore they miss out on seeing 20 more young guns from the RDFL who may have only just missed out on selection but perform on game day where it counts.
It's been a while since i've been around the TAC scene but i do remember the Cannons having a mid season match and inviting 40 odd players in the bottom age bracket, who are not on their list, to try out with the posibility of playing the last half of the year in their team. A game of under 17's could open up more opertunities for those who play that they would otherwise miss out on.

Really if the Senior Coaches want the gig then let them do it, (plus selection) after all they are the best Credentialed for the job.

Hey All, Love reading sight but everything goes on for so long, I live on the Mountain, been o/s though, can you please tell me who they have picked up, look n RDFL site and see some great players but please advice!!!! Heard some trainig at Optus - Irwin, Tanner and OConnor is this true??? Also is Darren Goodwin playing he will take some stopping?? David Goodwin coach is very swithed on! See Patty has come from PAFL. Feel like a dog on heat, please give me info?!

Training at Optus for Melb based players Monday nights OConnor running that, Darren, Tim, Steve Goodwin playing, Patty Taylor with Dave Panti playing after returning from WA, add the return a lot off the 04 under 18 premiership team with Tanner, Irwin and co and things are looking up. Training is on Mondays, Wednesdays, and skill sesssions on Fridays starting at 6 pm.

Would be that be Adam Kearney that did grade 6 at Broadford PS about 1985/86? Played mostly at Epping and Lalor in the DVFL as well as a recent stint in the Golden Rivers with Wakool I think?

I don't quite agree but that's what this forum is about.
Morgan is a good friend of mine and will continue to be. He has served the club pretty well over the past 6 or so years. When he has been down on form he has seemed to go into his shell until we have a big game, then he will come out and pretty much win it off his own boot. That's the effect Morgs can have on a game. Some people will be happy with his departure, I for one am very dissapointed that he's leaving, but that's his choice and he has made it. I wish him all the best over at Heathcote with Al Meldrum, Dan and Luke Carroll.
We're pretty happy with where the club is heading in 08 even though we have lost a few, like every year we have picked up a few that will hopefully more than fill the gap left by others.
