Re: R.d.f.l Thread 2008

anybody else think the umpiring at the kilmore vs sunbury clash was ordinary to say the least? one sided petty free kicks spoilt a good hit out!

Really?? I thought the umpiring at the game was pretty good.. The two umpires were in control of the game and paid what they saw and the frees were mostly consistent..

Re: R.d.f.l Thread 2008

Matt you are an absolute tosser, Votes for these games should be kept secret, there are no prizes for second, therefore they dont need to know how close they get.

Re: R.d.f.l Thread 2008

perhaps i only caught the bad decisions

That and you saw an opportunity to pot the Kangaroos... Common theme in a few recent posts.. :p

Sorry mate but I was told they are not secret, and in fact was encouraged to make them public. They publicise the best on ground votes for the Norm Smith, Michael Tuck and Ross Glendinning awards etc. in the AFL. The votes from the GVFL's Anzac Day medal are public, as are the ones from the Bendigo FL's Anzac medal.

I'd like to see a few of these posts, seems as though your potting me which is a tad hypocritical and unnecessary?

 Hmmm... Would certainly not pot you... You are entitled to your opinion, as I am with mine...

Agree... I dont have an issue with it.

Re: R.d.f.l Thread 2008

Little bit of football, however relates to the out of touch Hume City Council that some of us are asscoiated with.....

Anzac Day Friday, the Sunbury RSL and Vetrans league hold the service at 10am outside the front of memorial hall every year in rememberance, since the shrine was built. For every year passed the over the decades an agreement has been in place prior to the Hume allignment, with the Shire of Bulla, that the facilities and park land within the memorial hall and shrine were made available at a no cost charge. And so the damm shouldn't be charged.

To charge our war vetrans the use of facilities for a day of remeberance, when if it wasnt for them we wouldn't have the things we take for granted. The mayor of the Hume City Council last week Mohammed Abboucie, put a figure to hire the seats, cooking and tea facilities to the RSL and Vetrans to use the surroundings and facilities. A Estimated cost I am unaware of, but it a disgrace, and Citizens and rate payers of Sunbury should be filthy and propose us back to move to Macedon Council.

The RSL and vetrans had to outsource their catering and facilities to N & M catering, and I am led to believe the Vetrans in the end, ended up removing the chairs form the hall....

Reading what you have written, I agree, but Sunbury will never come back into the Macedon Ranges Shire Council. Your best bet is to have you're own municipality. I know some of the powers at Spring Street want to exclude Sunbury from the state seat of Macedon and make it its own entity.

You are right... I did miss this one as it was part of the collective, as for selective editing.. I didn't mean for that to occur...

Im really not interested in getting into a baseless argument with you about how you have been treated unfairly.. I would much rather discuss RDFL football if that is ok with you? :thumbsu:

A fair way off football, maybe you should post your thoughts on the local sunbury online forum. :D
But if that was fact it is very dissapointing.
