My Tips for Round 5.
Macedon to bounce back over an inconsistent Sunbury by 16pts.
Woodend going along very nicely thank you very much & triumph over an injury plagued Wallan line up by 42pts.
Kilmore to find it tough once again at home but prevail over an improving Rockbank by 24pts.
Romsey to just get over Diggers in a physical encounter by 11pts.
Riddell to find Lancefields midfield more than a match but still gain the points pretty comfortably by 48pts.

been riddled with injuries and poor form the last two seasons. but yes this year has been a lot better so far (touch wood). but cant get named off only as few good games early in the year.

Seriously.. It is misinformed imbecilic comments such as this that drag our competition and its clubs down... The above is absurd and had nothing to do with the name change. Back in the early 2000's Nth Melbourne contacted all clubs with affiliation and asked that they directly linked themselves to the club. The club saw an opportunity to change the name and the "Rovers" perception and mentality and head in a new direction. Firstly by having players that never paid fees and put the club in a terrible financial position move on and create a new culture. This has taken longer than hoped, but is still a work in progress, the "Rovers" while a part of the clubs history, is no longer a representation of our football club. So maybe think about the comments you are posting and try to ensure they are more relevant to FACT rather than petty jibes.

I do indeed, they played there games at Diggers Rest, with council approval.. Not owing any monies.. The name change occured early in 2000, all monies that were owed REMAINED owed and were paid off in consultation with the club and the league. You may be the only INANE imbecile that continually refer's to our club as the Rovers, luckily I am sure that the club you represent wouldn't share the same view as you nor would most of your players. I am pretty sure I explained in the previous post why the club went for the name change.. Maybe you have trouble reading as well...

Champ, champ champ, In 1987 the club was formed and were based at Diggers Rest, I believe it was in 1989 that the shire of bulla allowed them to play at the Boardman reserve, In the Mid 90s the club built what we all see now as the social rooms (no council help). somewhere in the 90s the club did accumulate a debt to the league.
In 2000 the club was approached by North Melbourne. As the club had a poor reputation and a bad stigma about the Sunbury Rovers the new committee decided it best to try and start a fresh a new name and strip was a good start. The debt was still there and a repayment plan was organised. In 2003, the debt was payed off in a lump sum at the end of the year and we then started with a clean slate.
No debt since then.
Is that cleared up for you.
Yes to some off the older people amongst the league they will always know us as the rovers, but some do admire the way we have gone about changing the image and respect us by acknowledging our Kangaroos name.
As with all clubs not all of our supporters are angels, but the amount of idiots around are decreasing.
