IMO. I think you will find that most clubs would be in favour, it has been a while since they were in this comp, they don't appear to have a record for being thugs in recent years, no talk of being unfinancial, judging on recent on field form they will fit nicely into this comp, won't dominate and shouldn't be easy beats. They will also take away the bye.

A few names that have been thrown around up the road at Woodend,Waters from nth ballarat,Duff from gissy,Ollie from gissy,Dryden from kyneton,Filo from eaglehawk,hannett and darko woodend,massina,Shepard from abers a couple of playing coaches in that list

Waters to coach Melton.
Duff to stay at Gis if Ty Elliott gets the coaching job.
Filo - 100% to be coaching Eaglehawk again - on the way to a 3 peat.
Massina - why would they bother? Took Kyneton backward.
Darko - not a coach - maybe assistant.
I doubt that shep, would want to coach, as he is still a very handy player in a-grade level, plus im sure he's earning more coin that what we could afford, he would be fantastic if he did coach us, it would be a good shoot out for the leading goal kicker between him n slugger, can roost a ball!!!
as for the other names they all have a link to woodend, the jobs up for grabs so i hear, so it should be interesting to se who gets it.

What about captain A.Johnstone he would be a chance surely. Most likely will not play much of next year and all the players respect him highly

Looking for a new trend from RDFL clubs to move towards Playing coaches will be interesting to watch clubs yet to appoint.

Was told that Woodend will be announcing their coach tonight as they have their presentation night. Is this true?
55 footballers went is this a record????
21 Netballers also on trip away diffrent destination though.

With Mark Power being named coach of Sunbury it will be interesting to see how many Riddell players will follow. Maybe another Power will come back to Riddell to keep it a power house!

That will only happen if the committee take the easy option......knowing Gisborne.........that will happen. Lets hope they interview Laurie Hammond for the job..........at least give him a chance
your a bitter man ! the best decision gissy made last year was giving eliot the reserves job over you . i would think that all aplicants would be interviewed
no chance. heard after remaining loyal and playing for no money for a long period of time will shift his focus elsewhere after the club failed to show him some loyalty and help in paying for a very expensive knee reconstruction!
