Heard the had appointed a Goodwin from the ammos who is to bring two or three brothers with him and perhaps a couple of other teammates. His youngest brother Matthew Goodwin played U18s for Romsey this year. That's where they all come from. Apparently the coach is non-playing though.

Last years seniors were a group of kids need some older bodies and heads around the place & the return of the 04 group of 18s.
The return of some past players and coaches who are now on the commitee will also help.

I think you have gone a bit short with the Kangaroos, look out for Riddell to be right up there again, a couple of big signings in the rumor mill, stay tunedAnd what odds will you be offering for Wallan in their first year back into the comp?

How do you know that it is an 85% possibility Wallan will be in the RDFL next year. Have you surveyed "all" the clubs to see which way they are going to vote, since I assume they do have to vote on it.

I know people who know people. Most junior clubs, if not all, will vote to have Wallan in because: a) It doesn't affect them; and b) It increases like likelihood that Wallan's juniors might join in the future.

Matt, Great odds for the hawkers, i would of thought we would of been shorter than that!!
But im a little confused with Sunbury being shorter than Riddell??
Didnt Riddell beat them 3 times last year and one was over 100 points??
Not sure what your basing this on. Doesnt make any sense but i guess it is your opinion.
Or maybe you have jumped off their bandwagon after their defeat last year??

The personnel on the field will change a fair bit at Riddell I'm led to believe. The same for the kangas but perhaps more positively for the Sunbury mob.

Just got back from the vote and the members voted 87% yes to rejoin the riddell league. The club had a representative from both the nfl and rdfl come and talk to all the members on each league and basically what they had to offer, and a few other speakers come up and spoke to everyone. All in all the wallan football club is looking like heading in the right direction!
Any word from Wallan's special meeting tonight? Here's hoping the members backed the club's proposal to rejoin the RDFL in 2008

Wallan will easily field two competitive netball sides and are looking forward to it.

It is far too early to tell. Depends on the coach, the players he brings, whether some of the gun Under 18s of the past return, and whether their new football operations manager and his brother play. Should all those boxes be ticked, they could easily make the finals.
