we seem to hear these rumours about robby whitmar pre season every year.and he neva comes back to play????? however after speaking to the 2007 bowen medalist it appears that if he does come back to the rdfl he will be unstoppable.i agree with u ims,the league has stepped up 4 sure.but bonnicci couldnt speak higher of whitmar and he couldnt see anyone containing him.another POSITIVE 4 the league i guess

Boardman Reserve is looking very green, a couple of little patches, but mostly quite thick, still pretty firm under foot, will be great to play on this year.

Wittmer will definately be playing this yr guys! he is keen as mustard to help the younger fellas around the club and even though he didnt play last season, he was at every club function throughout the season and was always on hand to watch, robbie is a good mate of mine and he loves the kilmore footy club.

im not saying that robert is the solution Sprechen! obviously we will need an influx of new players. atm though blues12 i cant help you with names as i dont know any. there were a few big strapping lads from whittlesea that trained most nights before xmas do not know whether they are playing or not, they would be handy though.

Wouldnt say he is a big forward although I admit he did do a fair job in the goalsquare in 2007 (97 goals) when the league wouldnt let Bakes play. He returned 45 from his 10 appearances this past season whilst spending portions of most games in the midfield. Again I dont know, don't think he has been sighted thus far - are you thinking of calling him?
nah was just wondering if he was still there, not a massive fan of training so i wouldn expect to see him till a few weekes out from round 1!!
played with him at pacco a couple of years ago, was just wondering how he was going!
but still a retun of 135+ in 2 years you cant complain!

good player big al, but i think he was pretty keen to stay at kilmore, not sure how his back is going he hurt it pretty bad towards end of last season. Al is also a top bloke.

Macedon will be the big movers in the RDFL in 2009 after recently signing Matt Knox to the Cattery.
A former Gisborne player, 22-year-old Knox has had stints in the EDFL, VAFA and Murray FL.
He went to Sacred Heart College and was a dominant big man at school footy, and was named best player of a tournament organised by the North Old Boys featuring players from class football colleges in Bendigo and Ballarat.
Standing at around 200 centimetres, Knox can play in the ruck, but is most likely to play centre half forward at Tony Clarke Reserve.
Should he bring his A-game, I can certainly see him having an impact as much as Waters did for Lancefield in 2008. If not even bigger.
Certainly puts the Cats in good stead, they missed a key forward last season. It also gives Beal a rest, and Knox is also good mates with a fair few "young guns" in the district so he may be the link for Macedon to entice a few more stars.

In all honesty though, I was on Facebook this morning and I saw his status had changed to "Matt Knox is playing with the Macedon Cats in 2009".
Was a very easy get.
Dont get to carried away, Knoxy kicked about 30 goals for the year from full forward when he played at Moama in 07. He has the skills but not enough mongrel in him (unlike his old man).Good luck to him though, nice kid
I was under the impression he kicked a few more than that, but even so, he should have no trouble kicking 60 in the RDFL. You're right about the lack of mongrel, he may not be a Hugh Carey, but he has plenty of ability. He's still very young for a KPP at 22 and I don't think we'll see the best of Knoxy for another couple of years. Still a great pickup for the Cats.
However, his inclusion comes with a blow as it has been revealed by some sources down in the Macedon Ranges that Brennan Beall will not be returning to Tony Clarke Reserve this season. The word is he is living with some mates in Ocean Grove and is playing down that way. Can anyone confirm this? HFF, you still have your ear to the ground down there.
