Could not agree more it's a growing trend to BYO with excuses of "they don't sell this type here or it's too expensive to buy off the clubs" the usuall excuse. The more worrying thing its usually bottled drinks as well. A good idea would be at the next Presidents meeting for all to agree to stamp it out whether at home or away. Commitees should be responsible and make their members responsible for their behaviour at all games.
Overall have enjoyed all games watched this year with yesterdays at Boardman a cracker.
From what I can understand, any player found with bottled alcohol within an RDFL ground will be deregistered straight away. Was at Wallan yesterday and the police turned up and went straight upto the hill and spoke to a bunch of guys there.
Its hard to stop but maybe when clubs start to loss players the idea might sink in.
