1) it doesn't matter who the riddell pres irAnd before you start to glory hunt and try and act like a big man go and do some research knob. Here some tips:
1) Go and find out who the new Riddell president is.
2) Find out what his connection to the Rocca's is.
3) Find out how financial he is.
You now may not like what you find out.
End of the day it may be a long shot but at the start of this year Moorcroft joinging Romsey and taking them to a Grand Final was a long shot as well.

Let me compose myself................ haha.....ha...ha....................
That would be great news for the bombers, although it could be a little hard if he is trying for a punting career like his brother.
I must admit, this quote cracked me up.. I just watched this movie yesterday...

Like the rumour Gis Football ground would be shut down at the start of this year because of glass and asbestos. You also mocked that rumour as well. Maybe you should not log on for a while - there are a lot of rumours this time of year.
where will they train then?Well Sunbury's ground will be out of action for 3 months, it would be in the best nick i have seen it, and the council has decided to tear it up, just before Christmas. Even with recycled water, the winter season grass needs too much, so rip it up and put down a summer grass. Well done Hume CC.
If the roos are lucky they might get back on it in March.
where will they train then?
also, are you able to utilise either Rupo's or the Lions main ground?
Hearing all the talk on this coming year i thought id chuck my two bobs worth
Sunbury Kangaroos- After knowing who they r getting kangas will romp it home this year
Daniel Burrowes- Best midfielder in the comp
Ryan Hatty- One of the leagues smartest brains
Niall Mcgovern- Leagues most courages along with bobby j
Chris meacham proven goalkicker
Dont know much about fenton and walker
Fishendon-Can play good football when wants to
Chuck in grubbys ploogs welsh and walsh
Very dangerous Rooboys
Bit in this article about Fenton,
But the game was to be turned on its head in the second half, Adam Fenton went into the midfield and gave Deer Park the ascendency at the stoppages,
Was also listed as a goal kicker and in the best for the GF. Played part of the season with Centrals and made the interleague squad in the RDFL

Walker's been in the Team of the Year a few times and was part of the final interleague team.

Rupo no, clarke oval, possibly, but most training will more than likely be done on lions juniors ground, (boardman 2) or the athletics track, that way not too far from home.
But at the end of the day it comes down to where the council will allocate us to train, sunbury high school and possibly rolling meadows new ground could also be options.
And how much are you on a year?i find this story a little hard to believe but it has come from two sources, one being tom waters the other being jason allen.
riddell offered tom $650 per game and he knocked it back as apparently lancefield are paying him $700.
surely one of these two boys are extending the truth?
waters chased the $$$$ season just gone and was told quickly by a few clubs that the price he was asking was a bit far fetched.
i wouldnt have thought that lancefield would be shelling out that sort of money for a single player, mind you tom doesnt mind telling everyone at work how good he is and how much money he should could or would be getting!
And how much are you on a year?
Well when Lancefield make $40K every year hosting the GF, they have to spend their $$$ on someone!Plenty slyone , you ?
I couldnt care less what players are paid, footy is a business now so whilst the players can get paid for doing something they love then good luck to them, im sure the clubs wouldnt pay them if they didnt think they were worth it.
The ones who spruik about it are generally the ones who think they should be getting more. Which in most cases isnt warranted.
I just find it hard to believe that lancefield would be paying one person that amount, when they have proven successfully over the years that they are more than capable of winning premierships with out forking out big ammounts of money
Well when Lancefield make $40K every year hosting the GF, they have to spend their $$$ on someone!
Agree with you 100%, i think it's about time the Presidents of each club got together, or we will find Lancefield winning the flag every year as it's not a level playing field. I think the GF this year was a great advertisement for our league, but it's time the profits were shared around, every club could have their own stall for food & Bev and every club could stand around their own stall selling raffle tickets ect, this would also encourage more supporters from each club as i'm sure all clubs would like good representation.Thats the part that stinks, why should one club continually reep the benefits of the biggest day of the rdfl's calender ?
Not knocking how they run it as they do a fantastic job, but surely other clubs out there could do with a kick back from grand final day.
Even if it was shared on a rotational system say were 3-4 each yr get a slice of the action and a different 3-4 the following yr and so on.
Lets be honest what are the chances of your meltons and rockbanks every hosting a huge final, melton did a great job hosting last yr as did all clubs but surely it should be evened out were all clubs over time get a kick back from the gf.
