Yeah totally agree, our club did that, the majority of junior training was on thursday nights, it allowed the parents to have the kids fed by 6.30 and was also a great opporunity for the parentd to have din er and a drink and socialise with other parents. I know it was very popular when we did it and little money earner for the club as well.

Nuggets and chips, or schnitty and chips $7 with a drink, parents loved it, cheapest and easiest meal in town

It's been great to read up on some of the news coming out. Hopefully, things keep improving and we can get a pre-season in. Certainly looking forward to a preview about all clubs which you'd think would be a given since there's only 9.
 
what would people think of a big pre-season get together and do some team building activities for points.

Hold it at Hanging Rock and see what type of activities we could do, e.g., tug of war to find the strongest club (footy and netball), relay race around the track. lifting of tractor tyres etc.

Anyone else got any ideas what they would like to see?

Just something out of the normal, make it a fun day, a bit of team building for every club. invite any club. see if we can get a sponsor to make the overall winner a bit of cash.

What would people and clubs think of this?

Josh Pound
Josh is an experienced medium sized forward/mid who has played VFL with Coburg and NEAFL with Broadbeach. In 2015/16 he played with Broadford representing the Interleague team after making consecutive RDFNL team of the year’s. Recently Josh has played with Aberfeldie (EDFL) where over 3 seasons he has achieved 2 Premierships, a Team of The Year selection and kicked 95 goals

Pretty sure they were waiting on goldfields to meet, if waitin on them could be a long time
typical leaving clubs to the last minute behind other leagues

Hermes70 they have moved away from goldfields. I suspect it would be a board decision re points allocation.

Just read on FB that Gisborne have signed Ethan Foreman, decent loss for Riddell. Also heard a. Whisper that Diggers have a decent signing from over West, should more than compensate for the Morrice loss to the Macedon police force team.
