Bacon is also overrated.

Fair bump, play on. It’s good, but people make out like it’s this holy food of cosmic stature.

It’s good man, it is, but everyone needs to settle down one notch about bacon.

Your pizza opinion is still ****ing shit.

Wait, this is one of those games where someone's been kidnapped and only has one BigFooty post to cryptically alert someone to their fate. This is A's revenge.

I think "pizza" is code for jerk, and "bacon" is some sort of spaceship

Or A’s husband, more likely

Too much cricket and not enough lower league football news.

League's One and Two bringing in a salary cap effective immediately, which is a massive step in the right direction, though the powers that be may still just find it unlawful and not let the clubs implement it. Important step at lower levels but will again just exacerbate the gap between the rich and poor clubs over there. Football is too far gone, but at least they're delaying their implosion.

Fascinating long term implications here. I doubt it would fall foul of collusion that would normally torpedo something along the lines of a salary cap.

That said, a better form to control the game would be a luxury tax ala the NBA, where for money over the cap the clubs have to also put money in to a common cause either to the league or to the non-luxury tax clubs.

Unfortunately, you are right and that high level football is just too capitalistic to the point of ever returning. For every billionaire that shoots of a few millions bucks, there will be five others to come. It is a shame because the leagues as a collective are more valuable with greater parity. The nature of football (its low scoring) means it is basically the only sport (along with baseball because of its high variance) that could ever operate with such a model.

Imagine footy where the top 100 players all belonged to the same 4 clubs, and the other 14 just had to make do with scraps. Make no mistake, put the Victorian and All-Star teams in the competition full time with long term training, and they smoke the other 18 sides (now missing their top 3-4 players each) by an average of 12 goals a game.

Salary caps are a good equalisation tool in closed-shop leagues but I can't see it working for leagues in the middle of a pyramid structure.

Should action be taken against Quinz for his pizza comments?

Options below:

A) Perma Ban - Yes
B) Perma Ban - **** YES
Or
C) No access anywhere bar the Sydney board on Bigfooty for life.

I think we should send help to be honest. B is clearly the most horrible of all people.....a vegan, and is slowly converting Quinny into one

Here is my day:
1) woke up very hungover after significant beerage last night
2) logged into BF, happy to see heaps of threads to browse whilst I drink my coffee and think about last nights sins
3) Saw Quinz badmouthing pizza
4) day ruined
If it makes you feel better, I'm sure Quinz will be along soon to badmouth beer next.
