I know it's a lame movie, but I still love the scene in Deuce Bigalow when Rob Schneider tries to get a refund on his martini and Norm MacDonald tells him if he doesn't pay he's shoving a swizzle stick up his pee-hole.

Have you noticed how big a part food plays in the show? Like campaigners are always either eating or talking about food - guess it's an effective way to display opulence but I'm always ****en hungry after watching it.
Yeah I have. Mostly it doesn't resonate with me. I'm usually so busy at work I eat while I punch back emails. I can't imagine people worth millions and billions have more time to sit and enjoy a meal than I do

If you have a tendency to over think things like I do, all the characters are slim yet eat super-rich food regularly and know every pop-culture reference despite working 20 hour days.
Still a fun show though, sometimes I need to remind myself not to take things so seriously!

This explains his tremendous weight gain.
Been watching that 9/11 Doco on Netflix. Gives a good in site into the events that lead to that attack and then the aftermath up till when the US left Afghanistan this year.
I found it crazy how after the Vietnam war they went and made very similar mistakes when going to war.

That's the one I was thinking of. I knew there was something about the show that really stood out to me but when you mentioned the food I couldn't think of it. So many characters quoting movies and books and whoever they are talking to know exactly what is being said and can respond to it. There's no bloody way that is real. But it just confirms they are all extremely high functioning and we're all pieces of shit haha

It's all part of the US economy's war cycle. Their government is so ingrained with military sourced advancements that the constant stop/start of war is critical for maintaining growth.
If that weren't true, then (as the meme goes) if the United States saw what the United States is doing in the United States, then the United States would invade the United States to liberate the United States from the tyranny of the United States.

Michael K Williams and Norm in one week, two of my favourites, what a shame.
Losing Norm just sucks, one of best to ever do it. For comedians and comedy nerds such as myself he was always such a joy, real comedian's comedian.

The traditional style of stand up, that comedy club Vegas talk show style stand up - all the big comics with that style almost unanimously list Norm as one of their favourites. Genuinely think he’s one of the most revered comics within the industry.
So, Sean Lock. Norm Macdonald. I wouldn't want to be a third comedian fighting cancer right now.
