Installed evap last year. Cheap to run, don't have to spend the whole summer yelling at the kids about doors and windows and works well barring a handful of days per year that the split in the lounge room can handle.

I guess it's a compromise but it's a pretty good one.

You're concerned with the kids rooms I'm guessing? Honestly a lot of it has to do with the age of the home, quality of insulation in the roof space and orientation of the home as to which rooms face which direction.

I chucked the young fella in the only bedroom in our house which has a South facing window. It's the coolest room of the house, but in Winter when it's cool we run an oil heater in there.

We've got evap as that's what was in there and it's pretty good. When serviced it does a decent job, but when there are fires (usually lit on the hottest days), and there've been a few since we moved, it's redundant and you have to shut it down for safety.

If I was building or buying the forever home, I'd go big solar system and split ducted. I'd also put really good ceiling insulation in and tint some windows.

Life changing. BF was becoming unbearable on a phone- this is a great fix.

I like how the Ad bl0cker app contains ads though.
