Do the kids in his community need that many toys?
I know it’s a cause he cares about and obviously he would never have expected it to get this sort of response, but it’s now massively oversubscribed. At this point wouldn’t it be better to donate to another relevant cause? Maybe NFL concussion research, or defibrillators at grassroots games, or the hospital he’s in.

That’s probably not high on his list of priorities right now, no.
I’m just wondering why people would continue to donate to a cause that’s oversubscribed by about 1200x what it was originally seeking. I get the impulse, but I just think there’s better ways to recognise him.
