Going to enjoy the brief respite of not being tempted to stay up "for just one more over. Well they looked really close to a wicket/century so I'll just watch one more..." before the Ashes start.

Instead I can 100% blame Legend of Zelda for keeping me up too late.

We've got 6 tests in about 6 weeks still to come though. I won't survive

Is it me Australia having a reputation for having scary vastly overrated? Yes we have a shit ton of snakes but our largest predetor’s are great whites and Salties (no land base predetors). For instance the US has bears, Wolves, mountain lions and while gators aren’t as bad as salties, they still attack people. They also have great whites too.

Blue ringed octopus, box jellyfish, stonefish, funnell web spider and roughly half of the top 10 most venomous snakes in the world. I think you're confusing dangerous with deadly.

Agreed. Americans can go camping and get mauled to death.

So Djokovic did it. Most Grand Slams, the only player to win each GS three times, longest at #1. And he did all that while having to compete against Federer and Nadal.

Credit where it's due, he's laid the GOAT debate to rest IMO. It galls me, but that's how it is.

Don't think he did have to compete against Federer and Nadal much - their injury issues coincided with a lot of his slams. Is he better or just younger?

The venomous snakes danger factor is overrated. Unless you literally step on one you're very unlikely to get bitten. I did a snake handling course and going into it I assumed these deadly snakes were aggressive but they don't want anything to do with you.

He's 36. He also beat them in plenty of slams, so I gotta disagree with you Trucko.

I don't like admitting it either, but he has clearly proven himself to be the best of the three.

Nadal has the superior head to head record in slams though. I don't think it's as simple as most slams. Was Margaret Court or Serena Williams the better player?

You have a point. My wife definitely agrees with you

Other countries have far more dangerous predators than we do

When we have to fabricate dangerous animals like dropbears and bunyips you know that we’re pretty safe for the most part

Not likely to accidentally step on a lion or have a bear bite you on the toilet* though. I think the fear is that our dangerous animals tend to be well hidden and so you don't know if they're there until it's too late.

We also have kangaroos who look cute but can **** you up.

*Except that one time

Kangaroos don't predate you in any way. They'll f*** you up if you antagonise them badly enough and are a complete dimwit about it.

I don't think any of the large predators elsewhere predate people either, if you keep your distance you're usually fine.

Some pumas possibly excepted.
