yeah mate, most things about it were fantastic.

the band were perfect and his voice live is really strong, the venue was very well suited to the music and the acoustics in there were spot on.

the crowd didnt get into it enough for my liking. it was still a great gig though.

the girl sitting in front of me said to all her friends 'this is one i know!' when he played skinny love, shit like that pisses me off i guess.

Yeah... That would piss me off too. I have a feeling the Crystal Castles gig will be the game if I go, people saying "ooh I know this one" etc. Was the same at Bloc Party, all the metro bogans you could hear going "finally one I know" about 14 songs into the set.

Metros Freo is absolute atrocious for music. You have to be in very specific spots.

nah it wasnt metro freo, it was the fly by nightclub. i'd never been there before. its pretty much 1 minute from freo oval.

Yes.

Fly by Night has a wicked sound system. One of the best in Perth for medium sized gigs. Probably slightly better than amps.

Seen some good shows there over the years. Emmylou Harris back in the day, Peter Combe.

Scored about 20 runs less than we should have. Don't have any real death bowlers either, Hilfenhaus is not a death bowler, Tait wasn't used enough at the end and you're going to struggle bowling Clarke and D Hussey ten overs. They were probably a bowler short at the end.

Michael Hussey shouldnt open. He has developed as a great middle order batsman
Cameron White- What the hell is he in the team for. A specialist batsman at number 7 ?. Should be gone for an opener, and move hussey back into the middle order
Hopes- Really dosnt give as much as the 4th bowling option. An actual bowler is needed

Would be tempted to play a specialist spinner. Someone like Doherty or Heal would come in handy, I don't think Clarke and D Hussey can be relied to bowl ten overs between them every game, it's like going into a game with four and a half bowlers.

Australia took a risk and it didn't pay off.

Maybe drop White, bat Hopes at 7 and play another bowler.

Although I don't mind having White in the team, can bat anywhere in the order and is a pretty decent fielder.
