Mate, you may be right or you may be wrong, but you really need to stop jumping down people's throats as soon as you find one unsubstantiated source that says a player might not be leaving as if that's irrefutable proof. Chad Wingard 'signalled an intention to stay for 2020' too.
Karl wants to stay. This is fact. He will be here next year.

I’ve seen Karl at a few auctions, he’s looking to buy a house in Adelaide
Sign him up already, way too important to our midfield structures.
Played well again , now he’s not a liability physically his skills come to the fore and he’s a good player
