High draft pick for danger is only handy if you trade it for a developed player!

We don't want to reinvent the wheel and wait 3 to 4 years on a prospect!

If we lose an important piece in our list, it's important to replace it the best we can strait away...

High draft picks are for the teams in list rebuilding mode

Just another thought, what if someone like GWS are the real players for Danger at the moment. He's said it's not about the money BUT if it was a mega deal, no-one would hold it against him too much for leaving. They'd be a pretty powerful outfit with him in the side, plus we'd be well looked after with picks or players I'd imagine.

I still think he'll stay but just something else to consider. Geelong are heading no-where, they've gotta be out of the equation surely. As others have said I'm 100% comfortable that we'll come out of this situation at least equal, or better for it. It's funny what a powerful and successful CEO can do for a club hey?

IMO

I see danger leaving but not to Geelong...
Always said pies but could be any club in Melbourne on the way up (Richmond,Bulldogs or the unlikely saints)

Geez scary thought, pies may show the cards and offer Jesse White for good measure... Sorry had too

Collingwood and Hawthorn worry me.

I think walking into the Hawks to win a flag would be very piss weak; but I'd be shocked if they weren't into him.

The only player in the game who would ease the pain for me is Jaegar O'Meara.

We don't need a couple of very good players.

We need to replace Paddy (I'm still hopeful he's staying) with genuine top end talent; we need a pick 1 or 2 type player.

That's what we need to target, and make it non negotiable.

As an example, I'd rather pick 2 and 16 than pick 8 and 12.

If we lose one of the few 10/10 players in the comp, we must replace him with a 9/10 player, at worst, not a couple of 7.5s.

Motlop and Scharenberg would not replace what Paddy brings to the table - I'd rather him than both of them.

We are a genuine premiership threat, with a side stacked with talent.

We've seen the difference incremental improvements from Wright to Lyons has made, Mackay to Atkins.

If Paddy goes, we need elite talent to replace him, simple as that.
Ahh

Fyfe or Pendles?
