Far out Geelong are very desperate for him , they have:
  • Made an online petition for Paddy to come home
  • Costa giving Dangerfield's mum a high up job
  • The Geelong Advertiser releasing "come home Paddy stickers"

Bloody cringeworthy
Doesn't she just manage one of his rental properties at Moggs?

This drawn out process may actually turn out to be beneficial to the club in the long run. PD not signing puts everyone at the club on edge and on notice. They would not want to give Danger any excuses to not re-sign. From Danger's perspective, he benefits personally by keeping in the media spotlight via all the news and speculation. Given the uncertainty re the coaching situation, it makes even less sense to commit now. The world will not come to an end if he stays or goes.

I think the middle one is not like the others. Costa has employed Dangerfield's for a fair while. Nothing to do with PD. If you live / work in Geelong you probably have some connection to Costa.

Well the AFL has a history of giving different parties different results. Adelaide loses 2 first and 2 second round picks then the next year Essendon loses the same but is given an end of first round pick each year. Tribunal has zero integrity. What's to say we won't be given an extra 1st round pick if Danger leaves? 1 pick after our own as well as 1 end of first round pick? Maybe a mid first rd pick rather than an end of first round pick? Hawks will go bonkers, as we did when Ess got their picks, but will essentially fall on deaf ears.
What's that supposed mean???:p

All the Geelong vets out on the way out!

If danger was coming you'd think they would keep Johnson for one more year...

For me this is a better sign

But Geelong arnt in the running IMO

With so many quality young SA kids coming onto the market we would be mad to take picks instead of players.
Agreed. Or we take picks and on trade for players. If you lose Dangerfield and bring in a couple of Redden, Mayes, Aish, Menzel, Motlop, Scharanberg et al whilst retaining a first round draft pick it's not quite so bad. Still not as good as retaining danger, but certainly lessens the impact.

If we lost danger gaining scharenberg, redden and menzel would certainly lessen the tears.

How the hell do you come up with that?

They just freed up about a million bucks for an FA offer.
