Hes gone, too many things adding up now and pretty angry he kept going with the "i haven't thought about it" line all season which is complete rubbish, however....he has served the AFC well, could of been a AFC legend if he remained a one club player but goodbye adios, out the door you go.
Technically he was telling the truth. He hasn't thought about it all year because he made up his mind 12 months ago that he was leaving.

What is danger worth 1m - 1.2? And he's going to Geelong for about 800k? He must seriously want to go home.
What's changed so much, surely we are far better placed than the last year or 2.

Not going to happen. If the Hawks can only get pick 19 for Buddy, we're not going to be gifted pick 3 for Danger. Imagine the outcry. People are confusing the compensation that applied to the new franchises where Geelong got a mid first round and an end of first round for Ablett.

He'll go as a free agent if we accept a pick after our first rounder, or we'll match and it'll have to be a trade - that's it.

I think both clubs and the AFL already know how it's going to play out.
Oh, it's incredibly unlikely, which is exactly what I said. But the AFL does have the discretion under the FA compensation rules as per the last line here: http://www.afl.com.au/afl-hq/the-afl-explained/free-agency to award compensation differently should it see fit.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If the club knows they should make a statement/press conference ASAP stating "We will match". No point waiting for Mr.Dangerfield to dictate terms. Same with Worsfold. The sooner we deal with all this crap the better.
The Club is going to make itself look ignorant by not saying anything given the avalanche of rumours and innuendo over the last 12-24 hours.

He'll get more than $800k - it just won't be in the books.

Surely he can't wait until after the Brownlow to announce it. Supporters (including me) are already turning on him, and you know there will be idiots who will abuse him and Mardie in person. Best to get it over and done with.

My head hurts, im hungover, upset and begging god to stop the madness.

I wanna know either way by Wednesday stay or go.... and I want him to do a press conference and explain why he made this decision that members are invited to. I want him to look me in the eye when he Shatters my heart for the 2nd time this year, I want him to see the pain etched all over my face, I want to see him tell a group of kids that all have his number on their back why they won't see their favourite player from their favourite team playing for them any more.
Hungover? Were you in Melbourne too?

The only reason why I would care about him winning the Brownlow is that winning it apparently is a variable that is taken into consideration when formulating the compensation for losing a player to FA.

Otherwise, I really dont care whether he wins it or not. For him now its an individual award that he takes to Geelong.

I wont be happy seeing him carry on at the Brownlow while sitting at the AFC table. Would posters be happy seeing him sit at our table, knowing that he has packed the bags?
