So people are suggesting getting rid of a Ruck backup even though we got in a new one to fix the lack of depth in that area? Essentially taking us back to the situation we were in before the inclusion of Lowden?

Thank god none of you lot are in charge of list management!
its all about out vs in though.

if Jenkins (a PART time ruck) plus any number of picks were going to be enough to net Cameron (which admittedly they wouldn't) you would be insane not to do it in my honest opinion, backup rucking be damned... JC will make Buddy look like a journeyman by the time his career wraps up.

Tex, Danger, Sloane, Smith, Jacobs, Crouch bros and Talia are the only guys I wouldn't give up for Cameron and that's largely because they're so strongly woven into the team. Put it this way, if every team were dissolved right now and you had to re-draft a new team for 2015 I'd take Cameron at #1 - ahead of the likes of Ablett and Buddy due to his age.

We don't need Cameron. Of course you'd get the deal done if he was begging to come here, but he isn't. A mid like Aish, with ties to SA, is the one you'd go for every day of the week. Brisbane are a team that are almost entirely made up by good mids. Time to pry one out of their hands...
Although a forward isnt our highest priority, granted, if JC said i want to come to SA we'd be stupid to not fight tooth and nail to land him, could be the elite forward in the comp and with walker would be a tippet/franklin-like combo. You can't let elite talent slide past because its not your most pressing need. I think its similar to what the recruiters say around draft day, you can never have enough top end talent. Aish could be a gun, cameron is one and almost will certainly become elite. Didnt do sydney any harm with buddy, considering they already had goodes, reid, membrey and tippett.

Port fu#*ed him last year so if he wants to come home, were probably his club of choice.
We don't rate him and even though we needed a ruckman and he wanted to come home we had no interest in him. Having seen him play I agree with our decision as don't think he will make it , lowden much better option

Added to the fact that he only talked with Port initially and when that wasn't working he came running to us at the very last minute when we were in negotiations with Hawthorn to get things done at the death knell.

He was contracted and GC wanted to keep him so he was never going to come cheap. If he was the same price as lowden I'd bet they would have been interested. If he shows something this year the club will be interested.

I agree. A case of too bad, so sad.

I thought it was more a case of the Crows saw him as a forward who could part time ruck (like Jenkins) whereas they saw Lowden as a ruck who could play part time forward, which was of a bigger need since we had no backup ruckman once Graham was gone. Anyway, I was just using him as an example, now they picked up Dear, McGovern and O'Brien this year I doubt they'd be majorly targeting another forward player like Gorringe at this stage.

Signing a diff ruck back up shouldn't be too difficult.

Preferring JJ over JC, even hypothetically is crazy. Just get a diff mediocre Ruckman if you have to.

They didnt get it delivered, it was made on site. 50% butter, 50% parmesan cheese - whipped together. Laid on thick on slightly toasted bread, pressed onto hot plate so that cheese melts into butter.

Now you can make it at home.

ps - it was a policy at Sizzler that if you asked for more bread - you got it - for free. I used to work there in the late 90s before they shut. Smashed a LOT of that bread over the years.

ps2 - yes, this is my first post, and its about cheesy bread. Ive been lurking since about 2007 I reckon. First crows game was in 1992. Looking forward to 2015 where we restore some pride and become a feared side once again.
Was the parmesan grated fresh or will the tub from the supermarket do the job.

But he wants to be a midfielder now...

So wouldn't you play him AND Lowden as an option with both sharing the ruck duties. Oh wait, the suggestion is to get rid of one to bring in a midfielder, therefore we would have to play one as the sole ruckman for a game (which Jacobs doesn't do).

You say he is bad, so what/where is his replacement? That's another trade that will have to be made.
Surely Huddo would be keen for another year.
