He had to play the entire season wearing a box, those things are made for cricket and straight line running, not Aussie Rules football.
It's a losing battle.:) He's still top five AFC player ratings and by probably delivers the ball by foot number one out of our mids IMO.

Do you think playing with a cricket box & tender balls may hinder a footballer, particularly their kicking?

Have a realy, really hard think about it!

There was a very good reason why dougy wasn't his classy self in 2014.
Hmmm....I'm thinking.

He's had two A Grade seasons in how many?
What excuses are you going to make for those years that he wasn't his "classy self"?

You said it; his kicking was being hindered all through last year. WHY ON EARTH did the coach and selectors play a guy who couldn't kick the freakin' ball?

For all of you who like to believe the media and their slimy ways of insinuating they know what is going on, here's Jon Ralph on the 10th of February reporting about Dustin Martin:

But while Tigers coach Hardwick said he believed both would re-sign, the Herald Sun understands Martin’s management is not yet willing to enter productive talks on a deal.

It believes he has an employment contract until the end of the season, with contract talks after the season finishes one option being strongly considered.

Exactly one week later on the 17th of February:

RICHMOND has locked away superstar midfielder Dustin Martin on a new two-year deal.

Martin, 23, put pen to paper at Punt Rd on Tuesday, tying him to the club until the end of 2017.

Ralph is arguably worse than rooch. That is saying something!

If Ralph starts claiming danger will stay I will be worried he is going to mozz us!

Didn't the Best in the Business, Damian Barrett announce on the Footy Show that Carlton were making a big play for Ollie Wines only for his re-signing with Port to be announced the next day?

These guys are full of shit but Ralph is the worst.

No it means someone has told them. Both sides of the coin leak heavily to try to influence proceedings and get what they want out there

Agents. Players. Clubs. Rival clubs. Plants etc

No need to make anything up

I have not heard and I certainly have not asked anyone in the now but looking at Patrick Dangerfield social media page - I'm getting the impression he is starting to distance himself from the senior players.

He is only seen with the younger players on the loist, yes I know - what a bastard trying to make them feel welcome and included or by himself.

Maybe I'm just reading something into nothing but I'm getting this feeling he is distancing himself from the playewrs hes been around for a few years.

Has anyone observed his behaviour with Tex and Slone when they do bingo st the Alma?

analysing social media pages, ive noq seen it all

interesting that

1. All players have pulled back, from the use of social media..... Oh no does this mean Tex will ask to be traded

2. Danger and Sauce spent much of their spare, time in Lincon fishing together.... Does Sauce qualify as a Senior player

Shit.... a senior player spending time with fringe players.....

Wait, weren't people complaining last year that he was selfish and never spent time with the young guys ......

Guy can't escape scrutiny- everything he does get waaaaay over analysed.
