Look at the 3 stooges they had.
I loved how surprised they seemed that Tex runs a lot all over the ground as he is normally a just stay deep full forward. Sorry Jason, but that was you, slow and no endurance, Tex is a vastly different beast and has always played that way if you actually cared to watch the crows play football instead of always focusing on the opposition...

That made me cringe. Immediately thought, 'no freaking way has Tex ever been a deep forward'. Stupid thing to say.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The Sloane Ranger apologies if you have been asked this ad nauseum, but has your viewpoint changed on your inside info????

With no inside knowledge myself basing it purely on everything I see and hear, I do believe we have lost our second best Victorian. As long as Sloane stays, he will be the best in my eyes and its not just based on skill either.

Isn't anyone else worried by the comments made by Phil Walsh? Talking about Danger is still under contract and has to perform....this tells me that Danger has told the club he's going and Phil is insisting the club has to get the most out of danger while he's still at the club.

Why didn't we trade him last year? Were the offers not good enough as other teams knew they would get him cheaper once his contract was up? I'm quickly losing all respect for Danger and I'm surprised he's happy to screw the club over particularly as we looked after him while he was still at school.

Just watch the game last night and tell me how the hell we're going to replace him? He constantly puts this team on his back and drags us back into games. We should be getting the number one and two overall pick for him but instead we'll get a crap pick for him and we'll get screwed yet again and the AFL will be more than happy with that as Danger will be back in Victoria. Seriously I'm giving up on the game as there's no way we can ever win. Odds are stacked against us.
Just reads to me he's still talking about "team first" and it doesn't matter if you're a #1 guy like Patrick Dangerfield or someone further down the list. You're a part of the team and you're expexted to perform to the best of your abilities and no one is exempt from that.

I didn't realise they showed it on the big screen at the game. I thought it was only a tv thing. I agree it was disrespectful to Dangerfield and to the Crows to show it at the ground, where Danger could see it and was playing. He is a Crows player, playing in a game for the crows. It just rubs me the wrong way.

Also agree with Stevie J. Was a great answer and he gained a point in my books too.
what did Steve J say ?

I dont give a crap about cred mate and again stop lecturing me. You aren't the morality police. You have no idea if he genuinely had depression and answer me this, why didn't he go back and play for Melbourne if he had depression then got better?
If he 'faked' that he had a groin injury or a knee strain then I wouldn't care as much. But to claim a guy faked depression when you have NO idea apart from the opinions of a few jilted Melbourne supporters on their BF board, then it makes you just as much as a phony as you claim Clark is.

This is a discussion board. I'm discussing the matter with you.

You come on here claiming fake depression but you yourself have no facts. I'm entitled to disagree with you. As would 95% of the posters on here.

What proof do YOU have that he had depression? You're a hypocrite

Can you imagine what it's like for him. Must be so painful. Especially if he's staying and doing the team thing of waiting until the AFC know how much they can pay him based on incoming player wages (Aish etc).
It would be very annoying that the media pump it up so much. Through out last NFL season I hardly heard free agency mentioned. Yet here in Australia we are weeks away from round one and it's all the hack journalist have to write about. It purely comes back to the fact that sports journalism in Australia is absolutely pathetic.

It's one thing to disagree, but cueing the morale outrage is what you did. My view is the whole thing was suss. Started off as personal issues but then turns to depression. Could have been drug issues, but depression is a much more socially acceptable issue. Dude then turns up ready to go again, but not at the club he chose and provided him full support. Guy is scum and if someone is going to use depression as a fake excuse, then he's the exact type of bloke to do it.

Seriously, drop the faking discussion.

Whether or not you think he was suffering from depression, many people are, and they have a hard enough time with people not taking it seriously to then be here reading the same crap.
I'm not making light of depression. I've had it for several years when I was younger. My argument is that Clark manipulates the system and there is ample proof of that. People need to get off their high horse just because I've said I think Clark can't be trusted.

Haha it was on the big screen? Oh dear.

Bit of an overly-attached girlfriend vibe coming off Geelong suddenly...

Awkies!
Just imagine the outcry if we show a picture on the big screens at AO of Aish wearing a Crows jumper when Brisbane play here.
We would lose draft picks over it.

There's more proof saying that he did (press conferences, doctor's from the club, family and friends stating they'd support him etc...), than there is saying that he didn't.
Press conferences? So what
Family and friends will always believe him that's their job
Doctors from the club? You have any links? Any paperwork? Depression isn't like cancer which can be diagnosed with a test. I'm currently in a job where I'm stuck
and I feel crap about it. I feel depressed about it. Am I clinically depressed? Matter of opinion. Again, why didn't he go back and play for Melbourne?

Thing is though, the national broadcast rights holder would never do that, yet have no probs doing it for a Vic based club.

They used to annoy the hell out of me, but now I dont care.

Show me where I said depression isn't a serious illness?

For God sake mate he got let out of a contract on the basis of his medical condition.

I dont disagree that Melbourne would feel aggrieved by the fact he's made a successful return with a different club, but he effectively left the system, got his health in order and returned to the industry. If I work for a company and leave due to illness, after that company supporting me until I could no longer stay, Im not obliged to go back to that company when I return to work.

He may be a "shit bloke" and he may not have much integrity - but your use of his mental illness in reinforcing that opinion of him is disingenuous.
