Most players the last year of their contact have a boomer of a year.. So we should be guaranteed that. And if after round 5 he still hasn't decided he wants to stay, catch you later Danger!
If he tables big offers let him go.. Take the draft pick compensation and hand that to Brisbane and grab Aish for half the money.. If we pay Danger drug money to keep him it will ruin the culture of our club.. I want Danger to want to stay but not at the cost of the club..
In DMAcks case, a quarter of a season

Agreed. I just said I was sick of hearing it, and I seem to hear it a lot. Certainly not a Badvertiser reader. Did I just invent 'Badvertiser'? Probably not.

I was likely reacting to ""We'll get the contract right, we'll pay [Dangerfield] what he needs to be paid, but we've got to get the culture, environment and everything right so that he can win a premiership, because he wants to win one," Ricciuto said." posted further up the page. No idea how accurate that quote is.

The city of Melbourne has plenty of premierships.
its all good - the quote is word for word accurate.

yeah apparently they had to take it out of the bag and stitch the actual nut back together. Apparently Tex gave him the nickname 'Charlesworth'
I would have started calling him buster.
I'm torn between these 2.
I think it's a split decision

Can people imagine, the circus gathering during the season!!!! FFS I know he is contracted, I know he has his rights to test his value but....surely this affects the team??

In 2016 who would be closer to a premiership Geelong or us? I would say us provided Tex can fully recover. Actually, I will go as far to say in 2016, with Danger, we would be more of a chance at a flag than most Vic clubs.

The clubs that will be in the mix from 2016 to 2019 will be GC, The Colas, GWS, Port and us provided we can bring in quality depth players in the next few years. Essendon and Collingwood would be my Vic clubs but both have off field baggage. Hawthorn have got 2 years left at best.

You should have a bo peep on the Port board where there are at least half a dozen threads devoted to Patrick including their Pets only thread where Dangers cat takes centre stage.

Most clubs go through this crap year in year out & in this the time of free player movement we will have to get used to it.

This is the whole issue for me... As afl supporters we are told how difficult it is to have everything align for team glory, but when u have a player who doesnt signal either way about his commitment to his team long term......... As a long suffering member, what do i think?
Dont get me wrong, i love the bloke, definitely top 5 crows of all time for me! But dont tell me its all about team sucess, when your actions or(lack there of) are hindering that!

I do find it slightly odd that now Tex has re-signed they've started throwing Dougie's name into the hat as another "big" player we can lose to free agency. It seems they're pretty determined to pin something on the team.
not odd at all really, the media ALWAYS has an agenda
