The good thing is that I genuinely believe that Danger does Love the AFC. Danger doesn't want the AFC to get screwed over. I would expect him to tell Geelong that they must negotiate fairly or else he might just stay.
I agree with everything except this part. I can't see how a player would want his new team to be disadvantaged when he has put a high priority on winning a flag. If he loves the club so much, as you say, he'll stay.

If we lose this week the club should put Danger down as a press conference for Wed/Thurs next week.

Not because he is signed, but because anyone with access to the media list will think he has so it will change the media conversation for the week!

People changing from staying to going based on the last couple of days.. jumping at shadows. I'm staying with staying.
To be fairish, there probably were quite a few (I included) that were in the gone column, but the rumours/showdown win had us hoping that maybe he did in fact re-sign.

Now that he played the straight bat again in public and continued to steer away from a "I want to stay at AFC" statement, many have jumped back onto the gone category.

No reason, once danger has made the decision to stay, that he c
In this illogical world I still try to look at things logically.

If Danger is staying then I believe he would make the announcement...."I want to stay". I don't believe the issue is money because lets face it the AFC know they have to pay the man what he is worth. If the AFC were trying to save a few dollars then we are a lost cause. For Danger to talk about focusing on winning games of footy the quickest way to make that happen is to say "I want to stay". Those four words would bring joy to the AFC, his fellow players and the supporters plus we could get on with trying to make the eight.

Some might say that he is waiting to fine out who will be our next coach. I say that is crap. Danger has been talking all year about weighing up his options and during that time he had a coach that he loved. So there are other reasons for him not declaring his hand.

There is no way that Danger hasn't been thinking about what he will do. He cant leave his decision making process to the first week after the end of the season. Danger definitely knows what he is going to do. He simply cant make a statement because he is not allowed to say he will be else where next year.

The good thing is that I genuinely believe that Danger does Love the AFC. Danger doesn't want the AFC to get screwed over. I would expect him to tell Geelong that they must negotiate fairly or else he might just stay.
This. Unfortunately, so much this.

Someones telling Porky pies, Connors has said its out of two clubs, Patricks saying he has made no decision and hasnt been thinking about it . Why have they different opinions. Of course he knows what he is doing and cant advise as which ever club he has decided upon will need to agree to his demands before any announcement is made. If its Geelong PD needs to know what the offer is and how he can get there without Adelaide matching an offer, if it is Adelaide he needs to know the offer.

Hi Janette, we love you too
Hi Janette,

Those people on the Geelong supporters board tried to start a rumour that you were infected with flesh eating bacteria, imagine what your love ones thought when they heard this rumour, they are a nasty lot, you should keep your son away from them. Also Stokes is a coke dealer, do you want your son hanging around a coke dealer? There is a reason why Christensen needed to get as far away as possible from that club.

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-06-14/hometown-lure-the-biggest-factor-for-dangerfield-says-manager

"I would've thought he's not motivated by money, he's motivated by winning premierships," Connors told Channel Nine on Sunday.

"The only lure that probably would get him home would be Moggs Creek, to the family."

The ONLY lure... not 100% those words, but it's pretty implied.
This is exactly it. Doesn't say anything about playing for Geelong, only the lure of Moggs Creek and family.

1. He doesn't have to be playing for Geelong to live at or near Moggs Creek; and
2. He doesn't have to be living at or near Moggs Creek to have easier access to it and his family than he does now.

I watched that interview last night when it was posted in this thread and Hutchy was desperately trying to nail Connors down to it being Adelaide or Geelong. Connors went out of his way to leave wriggle room. The whole "Connors says it's Adelaide or Geelong" thing is a myth.

"A long time" is a pretty relative sort of phrase. Some might consider 7 weeks to be "a long time" :p
Im sitting at a quilt show waiting for my mother to get a prize. I can tell you that 7 minutes can be a long time....
