Does this feel more like cloke or franklin to you?
It doesn't feel like either, Franklin is driven by ego and wanting to live a glitzy lifestyle, he was always going to chase the money, Cloke is managed by his dad who is out of his depths as a player manager. Danger is a guy who wants success, but wants it to mean something, if he gets a premiership like Gunston and Lake did, I don't think it would mean much, if he got one at the crows, or the team he grew up supporting it would mean a lot more to him. He loves the club, but it hasn't been a stable environment in the last 5 years that has made all the right moves to give him the best shot at being a premiership player.

He may have made a decision about what he wants to do 3 weeks ago but a freak tragedy would have made him throw that decision out the window and everything needs to be reconsidered and I believe him that he hasn't had time to even consider his future in the last few weeks. He will want to know who we pick as a coach, how he gets along with that person, and how they want to use him as a player.

Everyones tossing around 'what dangerfield wants' like they actually know. If all abyone is basing this knowledge on is whats been reported in the media i dont know how you can treat it like its fact

Drinking from half full glass do you think PD as a member of the AFLPA and an advicate for free agency wants to make a point that a player can wait till the end of the season, weigh up all options and still stay! He also like media attention so the speculation wouldn't bother him

I agree with everything except this part. I can't see how a player would want his new team to be disadvantaged when he has put a high priority on winning a flag. If he loves the club so much, as you say, he'll stay.
Yep I don't disagree. Danger will want his new club not to place itself in a position where they are too weak but I still believe he will not want to see AFC screwed over. Perhaps I am dreaming but if it were me and I kept on saying publicly that I love the crows but I need to be home I would want my credibility intact so I would still want the Crows to be compensated at a fair rate.

Maybe I am just a romantic.

He will stay. He is probably reading this thread right now admiring all the love the fans have for him.....or maybe thinking "Thank God I have decided to go to Geelong. Those fans are weird!!!" I am going with the first :)

So I looked at the article and wondered just exactly where Moggs Creek is. So I went to google maps and went street view. The place really is tiny! Back out onto the Great Ocean road I go to look at the top of the hill. On the way back down I come across the sign that picture was taken in front of. How the photographer got them to do that I dont know. They would of had to walk a mile as there is no place to park and he had them straddling the guard rail.

If Dangerfield decides to leave - what we get in return will have nothing to do with Dangerfield. AFC will decide on that. No way Danger steps into negotiations on behalf of his ex-club and tries to get a better deal for them. If he flicks the switch, we do what is best for us. He will do what is best for him.

I remember when McDonalds came to South Australia and the promo on the back of the jingle was that as a "kid" (guessing under 12 but Rolf Harris thinks it is more like 8) you had to say the jingle in less than 4 seconds to get something like a free fries or coke. So for weeks my friends and I spent a portion of each lunchtime practicing it to a person counting to 4. We became champs at it, the words came out of our mouths in a blur, much in the same way a female communicates to a friend that "there is a 50% off shoe sale".

Finally, it came the day we went to McDonalds ( back in the 70s it was a treat, not an expectation 4 times a week) and I went up to the counter and said I'd like to do the jingle to win my prize. Here I was thinking that this was going to be a timed event with a leader board much like Top Gears Star in a cheap car and I hit the ground running spewing out the Two all beef patties special sauce lettuce cheese pickles onions on a sesame bun, expecting the woman ( whom I guess was probably 15 at the time but to a 7 year old, that is a woman) to say " feck me, that could be the world record, get the boss".

Instead she turned, grabbed a container of fries and sent me on my way.

It was a good lesson to learn early though, any time you go to McDonalds, even though you'll have high hopes, you will leave somewhat disappointed.
Oh god! You know my wife?

Oh god! You know my wife?

Wife : I don't have enough shoes
Me: The cupboard & rack are full.
Wife: Don't you like me looking and feeling good ?
Me: What about my feelings ?
Wife: How about we compromise ?
Me: What's that ?
Wife: I'll tell you later on.
Me: Ok. How many pairs ?

Spot on, if it means matching an offer so a trade takes place so be it, the AFC cant act like soft c**** , they need to look after their best interests.

Did dangerfield actually throw tom lynch under the bus or is it rucci being a knob?
States that dangerfield said that the real reason Connors was in town was cos lynch wants 3 years instead of the 2 year deal being offered.

If danger did say this it's pretty low of him. No one else from the club makes comments on his contract.

Bickley stated that he wanted 3, not dangerfield, danger stated he was here to work on tommys contract but didnt disclose the length.
