What about this quote from Dean out of the Mick Martyn article:

' Asked whether it would be disappointing should Martyn be picked up in the pre-season draft and wind up playing against the Kangaroos, Laidley said: "Players have done that in the past, he should go and speak to those players. If he wishes to do that and keep playing on, that's his decision." '

OK, we've traded Carey and Pickett, delisted Mick, Blakes has retired and over the last 4-5 years blokes like McKernan, Pike, Horse, Fruity, Fridge, Doc Scholl, Belly have left/retired and yet we are still an aging list? Go figure...

Hmm he doesn't seem to be prominent over there, but he writes stuff about sports in the newspapers over here from time to time. He is ok, and IMO writes better than the crap Brad Hardie writes.
