Am interested in trades. Am interested in unbiased (well at least level headed opinions)

1 - S and L Power to Pies

Pies trade Cole to Dogs
Pies trade Picks 5 and 21 to Brissie

2 - Hay / Polak swap

Plus whoever negotiates best getting a 2nd/3rd round pick to even up, knowing Freo they'll pay more than they should...

3 - Fergus Watts to North for Motlop - straight swap

4 - Whitnall to Melbourne

This one's a bit more speculative but say:

Yze to Essendon for T Richards and Pick 24
T Richards and Pick 12 to Carlton,
Whitnall and Pick 24 to the Dees

Thoughts on any other trades??

I reckon only pick 5 for luke power, not 21 as well, we need that.

hey look as much as I would love Polak at the hawks I think our only way will be to give hay plus pick 21 - its worth it im my opinion

Not a bad deal that for the Pies. We give up our pick 21 and throw in Hay from Hawthorn for Polak. :D

Good on you for having ago and I can see merit in some. This one though is close to home so I will offer the opinion that the AFC would like to also see a draft pick thrown in for Watts . Watts is an up and coming , near ready forward, while Motlop has been in the NMFC system for 5 years and played only 3 games in 2005 after establishing himself in 2003- 15 games and 2004 - 22 games. Question marks would have to be on those reasons.

Though end of the day if the AFC and Watts dont come to terms he will walk into the PSD. So maybe some teeth gritting may have to be done by AFC supporters.

Motlop>>>>>Watts

You would take that deal and walk out laughing.

If Luke Power declares that he wants to be traded to a Victorian Club, or a specific Club, then Sam's value increases. Basically, if a club wants Power they'd have to entice him by also trading for Sam Power. And in that case, The Dogs will be well aware of it, so they won't give him up without getting something good in return. If that happens, Cole won't cut the mustard.

I wouldn't mind The Dogs recruiting Luke Power & Andrew McDougall over the Trading Period. Won't happen though. We won't give up Good Players or Picks to get a player that we don't exactly "need".

IF Power goes though (Luke), I think he'll be seen in Collingwood colours. Sam Power too. Question would then be - what would we get? I'd say maybe Cole & a draft pick. Who knows though, it's interesting.

If I were you, I'd be happy with a straight swap.

You do know why Motlop only played 3 games this year, don't you? If he gets over these injuries, he'll kick 40-50 goals a season. I think you'd need to throw in a draft pick for Motlop.

If ...such a big word for 2 letters.

I personally would be quite happy to walk away from Motlop.I think you need to have a lie down if you think Motlop is worth a Watts AND a Pick

It should be pointed out that the reason he missed the majority of the year was because he had surgery on his shoulder which had been stuffed for a number of years. This operation is said to completely fix the shoulder, so any further injuries will be unrelated. People questioned Judds shoulders, are they now? Motlop is over his injuries now.

Ummm no. Blake Caracella is going to be/was (im not sure) Luke Power's best man at his wedding, I don't think he cares what club he goes to to be honest as long as it's in Victoria.

I don't particularly want Lance Whitnall but to me this would be a fair deal.

Demons: trade Ferguson & pick 12 to Blues for Whitnall
Blues: on trade pick 12 to Crows for Fergus Watts.

Melbourne gets a 26 y.o KPP for a 24 y.o defender with more scope for improvement plus a prized first round draft selection.

Blues get two young KPP for a guy who has been good but his career is stalling.

Crows get another first round draft selection.

I would like Ferguss Watts at the doggies i reckon a fair trade would be

pick 11 + a fringe player like birss/power/bowden/morgan/skipper

I can see why you'd be interested in that trade.

The Bulldogs net result is: straight trade, Sam Power for Richard Cole.

As been said before, Sam won't be sold for a cheap price if Luke's on the market. So I'd be very surprised if The Pies got both Powers and all we got was Cole. I'd be very, very surprised.

Who needs Essendon?

If we gave you duds Richards I would be shattered and I'm sure so would he.

I don't care how much bargaining power the Dogs have next week. Collingwood would be paying over the odds already by swapping Cole for Sam Power - that would be the extent of the Dogs bargaining position. That is a win for the Dogs and I don't reckon Collingwood would play ball if the Dogs held out for more.

Cole would be a required player on most lists - Sam Power's career is, at this stage anyway, doubtful. If I were a Dogs supporter, I'd be happy with the trade put up.

Totally agree.

It would be a win for us.

Tiger Trade with WC Eagles
McConnell to Richmond for 2nd Rd pick No. 24
=================================
R Hall to Sydney 1st pick No.19
=================================
G Tivendale to Collingwood for 2nd Rd pick No. 21
=================================
A Krakouer + Pick 19 for B Fevola (Richmond picks up total Salary)
=================================
Richmond pick up Fevola/McConnell and retain picks 8 + 21
Lose Krakouer , Hall and Tivendale.

These are only speculative trades and have no substance whatsoever!

A Big no to losing Hall after the season he had for pick 19 in a weakish draft. Carlton will never go for the fev trade because they won't be getting enough for him, us paying all of his salary will be a bonus for them though if it did happen. I love the tivendale trade for us, would be nice to get that for him. Dunno about the first trade for us with McConnell- don't know much about him so i can't coment.

Dreaming if you think you'll get more than Motlop...
