Well, we're in the 8 and should stay there for now. It felt like that possibility was a lot further away than round 5 a couple of weeks ago.

We are building into the year nicely. Couple of chances to build our percentage and then we get down to business. Melbourne will come hard and physical early next up. We have the opportunity to match them in the first and put the foot down if we execute well.

Then we have a month which if we continue to build should see us win 3 of 4.

The decade of dominance is upon us! This is going to be a very fun year!

Hayden Young. The class injection of another A grader makes a huge difference. Let's keep resting him forward while he builds fitness. Then we can continue to do so when he is fit. Huge for us!

I hope that the team gets challenged; Richmond coming out and 'testing' the Dockers - who are also still a relatively young/inexperienced team - was good for their mettle and psychology, to withstand early assault and then eventually wear down that opposition. Bigger tests await, but I hope that's what teams bring and then it will showcase this team's maturity as it sits, and what's to come, to be able to hold fort and then go "bang!" when it's needed. I like it :)

Having the ability to score quickly and pile them on is something we have long wished for. It demoralises teams when you absorb their best and then go bang, bang, bang! They look up and are 30pts down having thrown their best shot.

Maybe Treacy saw it?! Gossage is just a walking sewage pipe. Does anyone even remotely take that dweeb-dick-dumbledork
serious?! How these ninnies get jobs is beyond me, really.

Look who's having the last laugh now, numb-nuts
Regardless pretty sure it was Treacy's second preseason, dumb comment by Goosage in every sense.

Especially as a lot of other top 8 teams play against each other this week. Lions vs Pies, Crows vs giants, Cats vs Hawks. Just outside the 8, Bulldogs vs saints & swans vs power.
If we play well and win well it is an 8 point swing over a lot of our competitors. I am hoping for some absolute brutal contested games. Cats vs Hawks should be huge after last nights poor showing.

I would never go for the cats normally but I want them to smash the Hawks.

Looking forward to being 4-2 with another percentage bump after this week!

Bolton to improve again. Young to build, and his class and form in game one was excellent. Darcy to build through to Jacksons return. I thought he moved a lot better against Richmond. Some of his tackles in repeat contests were excellent.

A big 6 weeks ahead! If we win this, our home games and the saints game we will be flying!

As I've posted elsewhere, some optimism from our record at the MCG.

We've played 62 games at the MCG for just 22 wins, and 30 times we've given up over 100 points - only breaking the ton ourselves 12 times.
BUT HOLD ON NOW...
9 of our 22 wins at the G, and 8 of the 12 times we've scored over 100 points, HAVE BEEN AGAINST THE DEMONS!
We've won exactly 50% of the time we've played Melbourne at the G!
Unlikely we score 100+ points if it is too wet this weekend, but we need to get that winning feeling at the G if we ever want to win a premiership.

I bet they match us at centre bounce and we get a low scoring win.

it's due to be mildly wet this weekend, but no more than 10mm forecast either saturday or sunday

percentage bump on a deflated Dees would be lovely, but i'll take a narrow W and no injuries, thanks
