Reasons Pies were written off

So there was the following reasons given in season, let me know what I missed:

1. Peaked too early. No team who is in 1st place at halfway point wins the flag.
2. Didn't win enough of the last 5 matches. Every premier wins at least 4 of last 5.
3. No consistent tall forwards.
4. Fluked winning close games last year, won't win them this year.
5. Midfield losing contested possessions, clearances and groundball gets badly in second half of the year.

Yet somehow...here we are.

Our “expected score” was actually the same as our real score 90, but Brisbanes was 67. Brisbane barely missed.

Yeah we missed some fairly easy shots, but kicked some tough ones. Balanced out.

The real lesson of this year is:

Brisbane, Carlton, Melbourne have a better team ON PAPER but sadly for them, football is played ON GRASS.
