I have been following the Bulldogs as far back as I can remember, about 14 years, and I have brought a membership, in one form or another, for the past 11 years so I think that entitles me to the right to critic our players.

ELLIS
There are all kinds of defenders in the game today, the rare and hard to find great ones like Silvagni, McKay, Hart, Archer and to a certain extent B.Graham. Then there are the hard nuts like Solomon, Hardwick, Dunkley, A.Kellaway etc. You also have the running or rebound ones like Cox, D.White, C.Scott, Wirrapunda, Cameron, Matera etc. Then there are the tall and athletic ones who are just there to spoil the bean poll forward, and small ones who are there to just stop the players like Burns and Farmer from doing the magical. To those you can add the players who aren't champions but will give it 200% all of the time, like Scarlett, Robbins, Penny etc.
Then there is Ellis I really can't fit him into any category but REJECT. Some of his supporters say that his tall and athletic so he can take two kinds of forwards, well I've seen almost every game this year and he has got his butt kicked in 90% of them. And by every kind of player, Everitt has bet him twice, Richardson bet him, Barker killed him, Tarrant did like wise and McKernan S***ED all over him. Other supporters say his athletic so he can run and make himself an option, that's true in theory, the only problem is that he's dumb, he runs to the wrong places, doesn't other himself as a target and when they do kick it to him, 85% of the time he losses his feet, and doesn't continue to fight for the ball. When he does mark it, (15% of the time) he's to slow and dumb to find a running option so he kicks long to Libba or West in a marking contest, or gives off a stupid handball to a stationary player. If you are still his supporter you might say that he falls into the 200% effort bracket. WHAT ARE YOU NUTS, if he was giving 200% in the games I've seen I would hate to see him give anything less. Add to this the fact that we have given him a second chance for the last 4 years! So I'm sorry (no not really, I'm glad actually) :D to say ELLIS must go at the end of the year, and it would be a bonus not a requirement to trade him.

JOSE
What can I say that the majority of you don't know, this guy is a complete and utter S**T-KICKER, for a midfielder he isn't quick enough by hand or foot, for a tagger he hasn't got the run in his legs anymore and for a link up man he hasn't got the skills. It's as simple as that, this HAS to be his last year. Every game that I have seen him play this year, he has be beaten, and that is being nice. He makes the easy look hard and the hard he just can't do, I've lost count of the amount of times he has turned an easy handball or kick into a struggle for the receiver, or a complete turn over. He's now on the wrong side of 30, and just doesn't cut it in the AFL. If you really think about it, with the exception of the Fremantle group and Daffy, is there a worse midfielder in the league.
So again I'm sorry (no just kidding, this time I'm really, really glad) :D :D :D to say that this year it's AREVA, AREVA ONDELA Jose.

Jose has played over 200 games. Surely to be called one of the worst midfielders in the league is an insult anybody in the 200 club does not deserve.
Ellis only plays on Everitt, McKernan and the like because we have limited options in that area.
Having said that both thses guys need to show something in the next few weeks to stay at the club.
PS. Ellis can only go if he is replaced. Our defence lacks height and can't afford to lose any.

In Ellis defence the +players you mentioned Barker(194)Mckernan(197)Everitt(203)Richardson(195) Tarrant(191) are taller and heavier than Ellis(189).
He almost always has to pick up a taller oponnent (sic) and stonger because there is no one else to do the job . Cox is taller (192) but never has to pick up bigger opposition players, Cox is allowed to cruise around as the loose man. I can understand this as he is such a good kick and you want him kicking under little pressure.
Ellis plays with passion and courage not scrared to grt in front and jump into big packs.
Tarrant kicked 5 against us in a shellacking when the pies ran the legs of us and had a very easy contest in the centre and was able to deliver the ball under no pressure.

He is also second in our stats for rebounds from defensive 50.

Just some facts
