Former Fitzroy great Tony Ongarello (131 games) died recently. There are death notices appearing in today's Herald-Sun who are quoting him as dying on July 18. His Wikipedia page however states July 16.

Bob Carroll was apparently Robert Wilfred Carroll (see VFA Project profile) - Ancestry shows someone by this name living in Canterbury/Glen Waverley from 1963-1977 which makes sense.
A Robert Wilfred Carroll with DOB 18 Oct 1941 is shown as dying in Florida on 5 October 2021 - suspect this might be him, with some delay in finding out about his death due to him living in the USA

This seems to be the deceased. As best possible comparing photos 40 years apart they look similar!
Update - confirmed that this is Bob Carroll. He was known to be living in Florida and passed away shortly after the 2021 Grand Final.
