I heard Bernie McCarthy Of North Melbourne, passed away recently.
I had it confirmed Saturday and have this link from NM.

Was an uncle of the late Jon McCarthy I believe? (Though by age theres quite a bit of a gap, always thought a great uncle fitted the years gap. I’m sure someone will set that straight).

AustralianFootball.com has him as the uncle of John McCarthy (it doesn't have the DOD recorded for Bernie McCarthy): https://australianfootball.com/players/player/bernie+mccarthy/9411

In case anyone is looking for this (from the 2019 Season Guide):
I've added the 10 dates of death that were missing to wikipedia/wikidata - ThePope can you check date of death for Ian Hampshire - the date added to wiki is one day later than the date in the guide

I think it would be interesting to know how many men from the last Melbourne premiership are still alive.
As long as AustralianFootball.com is up to date on this, a rather surprising 16/20 is the answer. Neil Crompton, Bob 'Tassie' Johnson, Peter McLean and Don Williams are those who have died.

Hovering the mouse over the names of the Melbourne players (one by one) here gives the same result.
