John Wilson - RFC 1959 - died 15 June 2019. AFL have been advised.
His obit should appear in the Herald Sun over next few days.
Thanks for these updates. Can you please update Tigerland when you get a chance. On the Wilson page there is a typo: "Premierhsip".
Ping Oliver Gigacz for the AustralianFootball.com updates.

Rodgers advises me that Hawthorn's Mack Atkins has died
His death notice says he was born 18.8.1931, not 18.8.32 as commonly thought. AFL has made the change from their end.

From Stephen Rodgers
"Stan Smith (Collingwood) and Bob Henderson (Fitzroy)" have died in the last week or so

Can you try to find the actual date of death for Henderson? Lion's website just say "over the weekend", so 8 or 9 June, the Herald Sub online obits don't have a date and I can't find anything on the cemetery websites yet.

Kevin Higgins 68 ( wiki has 6/7/2019 DOD )

Geelong/Fitzroy

Coach of Sturt in the SANFL (roughly treated imo)

HIGGINS. Kevin. The Brisbane Lions are deeply saddened by the recent passing of Kevin Higgins, who played 25 senior matches with Fitzroy from 1979-80. The Club extends its heartfelt sympathy to his Family.

Local league legend was Kevin Higgins. He's had a lot of tributes paid to him in the local area in the last week. Was clearly a much-loved figure.

The Tuckers Funeral & Bereavement Service website has DOD as 5/07/2019 so I would be going with that. Also includes full name.

Bit of an obit here if you have a News Corp subscription. https://www.geelongadvertiser.com.a...s/news-story/24c30793019db45fde90607d037aac56

AFL told me that:

Roger Hoggett of Carlton.
Died July 26.

Note that there was a discrepancy (we noticed) with the d-o-b.
Whether 5 - 10 or 10 - 5 was correct?
We've now had it confirmed, from the funeral parlour today, that 10 May is definitely correct.
(which matches, spot-on, with what the death notice says - at an age of 77.)
We think that AFL Tables, and virtually all online references, has it the other way, as 5 October - and Col wonders if you could alert them please, to the correct date. (ping WhiteHartLane23 and 35Daicos and *Paul* Oliver Gigacz )

Ian Drohan of St Kilda.
Died July 28.
(with a d-o-b of 22-8-1932)

Note that there's only been one other Drohan to play League footy -
the much more prominent early player of Fitz and Coll, Eddie.
Incredibly (we noticed) he also died on July 28 (in 1938)!
We contemplated, with 56 years difference in years of birth, that Eddie (Edward Patrick) and Ian (Ian Edward) may be grandfather/grandson;
but Russell H. has been in contact with the family today, and apparently that's not the case.

Bloody hell! Very sad news. The game has lost some big names in recent times.
