Blair Campbell (Richmond 1966,1968) died Nov 3, aged 74.
Also played for Melbourne, and was a noted cricketer.

Blair Campbell was the first player I ever saw use a banana kick for goal and he bowled left arm Chinaman's in 19 First Class games for the Vic's and Tassie in the late 60's and 70's. He also wrote with distinction on cricket, football and sport in the Age and other newspapers.

He played f-c cricket for Tassie during their early Shield days, in the late 70s.

I remember watching him play a Shield match for Tassie at Devonport.

Garry Davidson passed away on Nov 26 2020, in Perth, - Col H has advised.
Geelong, Richmond player - later Caulfield VFA, and successful Tassie coach - and then Geelong footy manager.
The Mercury has a small story = but its behind a paywall

According to the "Bears Uncensored" book Davidson was
king hit in a game against Frankston in 1979 (broken jaw)

Can someone find that match report (experts!)
This will be the game: The VFA Project
Davidson (who kicked 3 goals in a Caulfield win) must have missed the next 2 games: The VFA Project

From The Age: 6 August 1979 (He was also named as Caulfield's best player.)

The Age doesn't seem to have an actual match report.

He made a very good return here, though the team was beaten:

Thanks, page updated. Seven games, seven losses and still nowhere the longest winless MFC career.

We didn't have a single death in January nor February last year.

Hope this is a sign that 2021 will go onto be more normal year than 2020 ended up being...

(sorry, can't find a way to force it show zeros)
