I heard yesterday that Harry had died on the 9th of April, but haven't seen that anywhere official yet.

I think Collingwood's oldest living player is now one of the 93 year olds: Dave Morgan, Ron McKenzie or Arthur Gooch, none of who we seem to have ever researched here.

There are no known DODs for the almost sesquicentenarians George Lockwood and Tom Lee. Frank Corby is almost 100, but has been discussed many times here.
Ivan Clues is next, but also an unknown.
List from WikiData.

I've just checked, and the club folks do believe that Ron McKenzie and Arthur Gooch are still around, though not so sure regarding Dave Morgan (they were going to look into that one further). It has to be unlikely that Ivan Clues is still going, but I'm interested to see if GreyCrow hears anything useful from the person on Ancestry!

I might have missed it on here somewhere, but Robert McKenzie of Melbourne died in late 2022. I don't have an exact date, but it's reported in the December 2022 edition of the MFC Past Players Newsletter so it happened around then. Possibly related to this.

I'm rather sure that name hasn't come up on here as a recent death. The link (to the funeral service) you provided is for someone who died in 2013, and it's not the ex-Melbourne player:

If his Wiki page is correct, the Melbourne player was Robert Davis McKenzie. His father was Robert Davis McKenzie III. I can't see any sign of him on Ancestry, or anything that says he has died. Bit of a strange one, really!

I've just read on the Brisbane Lions' website that Les Hughson Jr passed away on April 4, aged 85.
Les (DOB: December 1, 1938) played 28 senior games for Fitzroy between 1958 and 1962 and was a nephew of the great Fred Hughson (164 games), who captain-coached the Roys' most recent senior premiership in 1944.
Les's father, Les Hughson Sr, also played for Fitzroy (17 games in 1937), but his career was notable for the Maroons being his fifth VFL club, after earlier stints at Collingwood (1 game), Hawthorn (4), Carlton (12) and St Kilda (41).
Les Sr, Les Abbott, Dale Kickett and technically Adrian Fletcher (if we count the Brisbane Bears/Lions as separate clubs) are the only players to represent five VFL/AFL clubs.
Mick Hughson, younger brother of Les Sr and Fred, played 93 games for Fitzroy, while Denis Hughson (son of Fred) played a solitary game for the Lions in 1965.
The Hughsons are certainly one of the Fitzroy Football Club's most famous families.
R.I.P. Les Hughson Jr.

Thanks for that, I will do some more digging.

I just saw November and 2??3. What a tool. Having said that, I've narrowed the real one's DOD down to late November 2023 at some point and just trying to confirm the exact details.
