I'm trying to figure out the best way (if there is one) to recover from a hit downstairs.
I was playing cricket last night (the indoor version), and was batting at the non-strikers end. My batting partner absolutely smashed a low full toss straight back into my nuts as I was backing up I(I wasn't waring a protector). I would have been five metres away from him when he belted this ball. I'm telling you, I've copped it there before, but never like this. Literally couldn't breathe for a couple of minutes, and for 30 minutes after the hit, my hands and legs went numb (a pins and needles feeling) and I couldn't move them properly. Had to go to hospital after the game to get it all checked out.
I thought I had copped it bad there before, but this was sickening.
Has anyone else copped a really, really bad hit there? And if so, what did you do? I'm swollen up like a friggin tennis ball.
