It is obvious that Collingwood needs to recruit a couple of established players. The youth policy is a great theory but it won't work unless there is a balance of experience and youth. In 2001, Buckley will be the club's oldest player! Which players do we need to recruit?

MM, you are in a similar position to Geelong.

You need to recruit two forwards to help out Rocca and Tarrant. From watching you a little this year, I don't reckon that 'Neon' Leon will not make it, he's too inconsistent - similar to Burns, but I don't think his best is as good as Ronnie's.

Gherig would help, but Geelong want him as much as you do. In fact Brian Cook met with Gherig on Friday.

For clubs like Collingwood, Geelong and Sydney, Gherig is the number one priority. Whoever gets him will improve next year.

Of the three teams above, Geelong probably need him less than the others. Because once Cameron Mooney gets a pre-season under him, he will be very good.

Gherig would help Geelong free up Ben Graham from the backline.

Collingwood could also do with a player like Scott West, even though there is no hope of getting him, someone like him woould help.

Here's one for you - Simon Arnott. Great Ball getter, just hasn't been given a go at Geelong this year.

Someone to help out Prestigiacomo in the backline wouldn't go astray either.
