A number is just that... a number. It means next to nothing really and a player can make any number their own. Kouta made 43 his own, could you imagine him in any other number? Kouta in number 2 or 8 or 4 just isn't right...

Give it to a rookie. No 25 should be retired for several years out of respect to the great man Fev (certainly until after he retires from the Brions)
A number is definately a burden, especially on a young player.
25 should not be given to anyone this season, not out of respect for Fev, but because it is just too much to ask of a young player to wear it.
I'd be happy for Goose to wear it though..

kekAnyone who gets the number 25 has a lot to live up to. Ian Herman, Mark Athorn, Ben Sexton, Sam Smart. Long line of champs prior to Fev.

Dont forget Frank Marchesani !!Anyone who gets the number 25 has a lot to live up to. Ian Herman, Mark Athorn, Ben Sexton, Sam Smart. Long line of champs prior to Fev.
Thats crap. Sure some players wouldn't care if their number was 99, but i think you'll find many players would be superstitious about numbers in one way or another. Not that it would affect their performances, but they would definitely have their preferences. And nothing wrong with that IMO.Some numbers have special meanings to us as supporters but if a player's thinking about which number he's got, he shouldn't be playing.
