weird you guys arent talking about cooper signing with Somerset
Strange signing, with a top order of Trescothick, Compton, Myburgh, Hildreth, Kieswetter and Peterson as a Kolpak? Especially since their attack other than Dockrell and Gregory is mediocre.weird you guys arent talking about cooper signing with Somerset

Dutch, but if Cosgrove is staying at SA next season, they might not be a spot for Cooper, which perhaps explains why he wasn't considered for any captaincy roles. It'll be interesting to see if Cooper can stay on for SA.
Compton and Petersen have left.
Wow. So they may end up losing Klinger, Botha and Cooper indirectly because of Cosgrove
Victoria should chase Cooper
On the bolded Kieswetter may be forced to retire as well right?
That would be outrageous, I can understand Botha as I felt this would be his last season anyway but still it is getting beyond ridiculous.
Cooper would get a game at any state side, Queensland or Tasmania would be stupid not to look at him if he was forced out.
I believe Tasmania tried to lure him down a few years back when he was doing the occasional keeping gig as a back up for Paine after Wade spurned them. Would definitely slot into the number five slot instead of a Dom Michael or Jon Wells. We could take him on either passports too I believe, it'd be a super get in improving our mediocre batting order
Now there's a memory, remember Cooper keeping in a T20 for the strikers. Would be a good fit for sure, quality player but can get into some form slumps (current one under different circumstances). Batting isn't that bad IMO, need Doolan to get into form though but then again Cowan's purple patch isn't going to last forever.
Is there any such thing as an under haul because the Redbacks have been doing it for years.
Things were looking up for the SACA only recently. Has plummeted recently. Losing Botha and Klinger for Cosgrove stings.
It's just insane. Klinger is reliable and a strong leader. Botha the same. Cosgrove doesn't fit into the above categories, literally.I follow T20 as little as possible, but I seem to recall Klinger went to WA because he wasn't wanted in the Strikers T20 line up, is this correct? Then they pick up some fat slogger from WA named Simmons. If this is correct, they've got rid of a quality first class cricketer and replaced him with a hack who bats with his eyes closed.
I'm not the greatest fan of Cosgrove, simply because he's lazy and does bugger all to improve his game, but at least he does score some runs on occasion. The only player to score more runs in 2014-15 is Ferguson. Not even the flavour of the month Travis Head is scoring more runs than Cosgrove.

Is there a state that could both use and develop Head? He should consider moving.
Don't think so. Head seemed surprised in his interview I heard with Jars and Lewy. I don't think he ever seriously considered moving. Was close to moving to WA last season, the captaincy could've potentially been offered to help him stay? So maybe it was planned all along
I've nearly given up on them to be honest. With the people in charge at the top we're just too handicapped to have any success let alone the fact our grade comp is miles behind everyone else's in the country. Kind of similar situation to Trigg and the Crows. Just have to get games into K.Smith, Zampa, Head, Ross, Richardson, Winter and find a few more now.Even Rodney Hogg nailed it on Triple M yesterday. He said the appointment of Travis Head as captain was ridiculous. He said he could understand if SA were enjoying strong experienced leadership off the field and were winning a few games, it makes sense to blood a younger player as captain for the future. However, at the moment SA don't even have a coach, and they're expecting a young player who is nowhere near ready to carry the can. SACA have done some ridiculous things in the past, and this just adds to the list.
i thought Botha was leaving at the end of last year ?
Nek minnit , stays , Klinger leaves , Redbacks still wilt in crunch-time ( a pattern that only formed since Botha came )
