Another 5fa for Winter, match figures of 10/50.

Starting to get some decent depth with the pace bowling.

Worrall and Mennie still haven't resumed (Worrall might this game). Winter and Opie have had good Futures games since Christmas. Grant only young but looks a decent prospect.

Not so much with the spin bowling. Zampa still yet to prove he's a consistent wicket taker at four day cricket and I'm not sure Andrews or Cormack are really in the frame for selection.

Raphael not so much. Will be interesting to see which players open in the Futures game Monday. If it's Smith and Dalton they may be auditioning for the role if Raphael misses out again.

Even then, that would be too late. Dalton hit 2 tons last Futures match whilst Raphael has continued to do nothing.

To be fair, Raphael absolutely killed it in Grade cricket, vs South Africa and also when he's played Futures. Churns out the runs at these levels. I don't think he's up to it at Shield level and has had enough chances but every time he gets dropped he outperforms the other contenders.

I see Joe Mennie played for University on the weekend and bowled. I wonder if he'll come straight back in? Sayers must be starting to feel the strain. Have been leaning on him heavily with Worrall and Mennie out at various stages.

Someone also said that Richardson was looking a little sore last game. Might be perfect timing for him to get a rest.

Agreed. Is the final in Alice Springs though? What sort of wicket is it?

They're definitely beatable, Alice Springs probably suits them a little more having 2 pretty good spinners.
