The pile on from Dawes and Healy is pretty poor, but its not a great look for Uzzie to be doing it either. I mean what good does asking Andrew McDonald do.

It's not a great sign about our opening batting depth.

Usman knows the test job is his as long as he wants it. Every other opening option isn't worth a burnt crumpet to the point that Option A is a ramping novelty act and Option B is our Test No 5. A Redbacks non-opener is Option C. And that's just for Usman's partner, let alone replacing him.

If there was some genuine depth and Usman's spot was under some question you'd think he'd hobble out there.

There was. They were in ready for the Rams to start in 1996.

When the Super League got delayed, the stands came down. Another set of temporary stands went up when the Super League kicked off in 1997
