It’s slowed up a little and looks like that tennis ball bounce that’s been their all match is still there, still looks more than fine to bat on though, new ball swung today so Neser is going to be the huge danger early and it will turn a fair bit for Swepson but it will be slow turn & he’s not at the level as a bowler where that should be overly troublesome.
I suppose the only positive I can find despite the stress and anxiety this chase (once it starts after these 3 wickets) is going to bring on is unless they go full Bazball (Rynoball?) chasing whatever total QLD set it looks like if SA are going to win it will be tomorrow so at least I don’t have to rush across town this afternoon & it will be a massive crowd tomorrow to witness joy or heartbreak…
That session is probably up there with the first game of the season in NSW as the team’s worst session result with the ball all season… not an ideal time for it to happen.
If Wildermuth starts slogging with the tail and puts on another 30-40 it will crush the spirits and their could be massive problems chasing that.

Theyve been the best team all year, and a chase of 200ish is tricky, but not daunting on a Day 4 pitch.
As the history of Cricket has proven a lot of time runs by the tail can always affect the psyche in a 4th innings chase.

We've surely seen enough leather being chased (and chased it ourselves) at Karen Rolton to know that even 250+ is a comfortable chase

Something the SA right hand batters are going to have to look out for when they bat is that the ball has ducked in off the pitch into the right handers a lot this innings, with setting up for Neser’s natural out swingers that little bit of natural variation coming back in instead can be dangerous. Steketee also very good at the wobble seam and getting the ball to naturally nip back against the right handers.
Massive alarm bells are ringing now. Wildermuth looks on for a ton again… bloody hell
