Frasers stats may be better than hill.....but I would still pick Hille. Fraser has never imposed himself on a game. Sure there were games he kicked a few goals and got possessions out on the wing. But contested wise Hille easily has him covered for possessions and marking. Fraser also couldnt mark overhead

1. Matthew Pavlich
2. Jonathan Brown
3. Corey Enright
4. Paul Chapman
5. Darren Glass
6. Joel Corey
7. Ryan O'Keefe
8. Cameron Ling
9. Luke McPharlin
10. Robert Murphy
11. Brad Green
12. Daniel Giansiracusa
13. Paul Haselby
14. Cameron Bruce
15. Lindsay Gilbee
16. Chance Bateman
17. Leon Davis
18. Josh Fraser
19. David Hille
20. Adam Hunter

Very deep and talented draft.
You are forgetting one champion and superstar, number 3 pick would be Lenny Hayes.

Then probably Luke McPharlin right below Darren Glass and above Corey and you are set.

I think you being a Geelong supporter you have rated your players too heavily in this draft. Yes they are superstars, but so are these other players

So would go IMO:
1) Pavlich
2) Brown
3) Hayes
4) Enright
5) Chapman
6) Glass
7) McPharlin
8) Corey

Not bad, especially now, because they all are still going. Only other one being McPharlin.
I put them in order of players I would have like Collingwood to draft. Not necessarily on being the 'best' player I guess.

McPharlin was the next in line. A player that can play at both ends and play well is always important.

IMO Pav the clear number 1.

Although Fraser served us well with 200 games and people forget how good he was around 02 especially in our finals as a 20 year old, I would still hands down take Pav at number 1.

I don't say this often about many players, but Pavlich is in the Hird bracket. Now that is a major compliment coming from me.
Lol, looking at it through purple glasses, I would have said that Hird was in the Pav bracket. I still remember Hird tearing us to shreds more than once (less fondly than you remember this probably).

Pretty amazing draft.
Agreed. When I saw the title I thought to myself 'We nailed this one, the top 10 will be full of Bulldogs....'

But it's just an amazing list of players, so many great players from so many different clubs.....

Is this list better than the top 20 in 2001 ???

They are, but I can't see how Glass is a better player then any of the 4 above him. Maybe McPharlin above Ling, but Lings leadership qualities put him just ahead, and he's not as good as Corey or O'Keefe.
You cant see that Glass is a better player than Enright and Chapman because you support Geelong.
