A year the West Coast recruiting dept will want to forget, that's for sure.
Boy.... horrible draft year for WC.
I was very happy with Sheppard but boy is Jetta lighting it up.
fyfe averages 24 disposals...also you make it sound like Martin is a drug addict if you think that then you are an idiot.

We have big name forwards now? Who knew!I said I had bias in my first response. Also the fact Menzel has not done anything since 2011 does not count he did his acl twice and has not played a game. Christiansen has played well this year despite carring a number of injuries from early in the season. while it is not much of a guide i remember he was averaging about 120 DT points for the last 8 or so games in 2011 when he was fit and not sub.
Crameri is also 24 all ready and he should have shown all the potential he has, the fact he need's bigger names with him in the forward line for him to play well bring's him down a bit for me.
When menzel was playing in 2011 mooney was on his last leg's and was dropped for most of the time, hawkins was not the player he is now and played a lot of time in the vfl while pods was 30 or so. johnson on the other hand has played as midfielder for the past couple of seasons. in the end menzel was often playing with a 19 year old ruckman and a handy 30 year old.We have big name forwards now? Who knew!
How do you make out that Menzel doesn't need big-name forwards alongside him, given that every game he's played has been with at least one, normally 2 50-60 goal forwards (Johnson & Pods/ Tomahawk / Mooney) next to him ? And Ablett/Bartel/Kelly hitting him lace out rather than Lonergan/NLM doing their best.
Stewey's played well as the #1 man - see the Brisbane game this year or the Richmond game last year, there's a number of other games Hurley has gone back & Stewey's still played well.
Virtually every game he's played has been with 2 solid forward targets and a superstar mid-sized forward/mid so he's always copped a 3rd or 4th string defender. When menzel was playing in 2011 mooney was on his last leg's and was dropped for most of the time, hawkins was not the player he is not and played a lot of time in the vfl while pods was 30 or so. johnson on the other hand has played as midfielder for the past couple of seasons. in the end menzel was often playing with a 19 year old ruckman and a handy 30 year old.
It's a fair comment in & of itself TBH. A fair bit of that stems from further up the field, but he's been pretty poor in the run home both years.all i remember is in 2011 when you had one of your many injury crisis's there were comments Crameri dropped but he may have changed I obviously do not see as much of him as you
I'm guessing neither of you read his post after that one. He's a North Melbourne supporter, I'm surprised he didn't put him at Number 1.
Apologies. My post reflects how i think they will end up in a few years when they have all matured.
I'm guessing neither of you read his post after that one.
Still doesnt excuse it. Considering he had him higher than Sam Reid.I'm guessing neither of you read his post after that one.
In fact I did.
Doesn't change the fact that putting Cunnington and Bastinac at 3 and 9 is grossly biased.
Reid and Jetta are much better than Cunnington and will keep improving.
I just don't see how these conclusions were made without supporter goggles. They're over-ambitious.

Then.
Moron.
Care to explain how you know so much about the future? For all we know Jack Watts could be the next Wayne Carey in 3 years.Care to explain why Cunnington will be a better player than those you've placed below him?
Name calling in response to a valid argument isn't actually achieving anything towards proving me wrong.
Care to explain why Cunnington will be a better player than those you've placed below him?
I agree that fyfe is better, but Martin is a different player. If you want to run comparisons...
Apart from the games Fyfe was injured he averages 27 per game this year. Martin 22.
Martin still plays predominantly outside with about 30% contested possessions.
Fyfe gets almost 60% of his possessions as contested possessions.
Fyfe is more consistent.
Fyfe is a much better contested mark. He is also a much better on and off field leader. Stands up when counted. Makes more tackles than Martin. Much more team oriented.
Martin simply pops pills and gets suspended when his team needs him most resulting in Richmond losing games it should of won and costing it a finals berth.
Is Sheppard highly rated by WC supporters at this point in his career? From what I've seen he seems to struggle at the pace of AFL level. From the very little I've seen.
I
I agree that fyfe is better, but Martin is a different player.
Fyfe-all round good mid inside and out and gets lots of the ball
Martin-dynamic, occasional 30+ touch player. He is just less consistent, I remember a game against NM he got 35 touches and 4 goals and completely dominated
It's scary to see Martin at his best, he dominates. But fyfe is. More of a consistent player who will be a potential brownlow medallist if he stays uninjured
