I think these kinds of threads are more suited to this board. The draft and trading board is more for discussing upcoming trade/draft periods.

This draft should prove an interesting one to analyze going forward. Already looks a very strong one, but based on what the players have shown up to this point, how would you order the first round?

Its very hard to rank the players after 1 year. Lets go back 10 years to the 2008 draft.

In his first year Daniel Rich was a jet and if I recall, he got a perfect score in the rising star. But in the fullness of time would he be number 1...

Still a good player...but most supporters would take a 15 year key defender like Michael Hurley or even other mids like Steele Sidebottom, Luke Shuey etc.

From what we have seen.. for 2018 draft... pick one is still Walsh but Rozee is not far behind. Bailey Smith brings a good amount of energy but history may rate one or both of the 2 big forwards in the King brothers at the top of the tree.

Too hard to really rank but I'd be taking Max King at no 1. Key forwards are so hard to find and now that you know he's been able to get over his knee issues I'd just take him.
Rozee probably best from a performance point of view so maybe he's 2nd.
Its also miles too early for this thread.

Haha, knew these boring posts would come up quickly.

There's no reason why it can't be judged as an ongoing thing, crybabies. Nobody said this thread is a definitive be all and end all.

I can't wait to see if Rankine lives up to the hype. So much x-factor.
I just hope he isn't the next Bennell. Talent cruelled by injury.

Looks like a pretty strong draft. Most early picks seem about right. Not sure Rankine is of top 3 quality. He will produce highlights but a similar type in Rozee - Rozee streets ahead.
The one who I think might become a real star is Lukosius. A bit of Rhys-Jones without the violence the way he goes about it.
Gonna be a good group to watch.

Yeah he's a sleeper. A bit unnoticed due to the way Dew is seasoning him but he projects to be a really high quality player.
