Not particularly, but Yeo showed a fair bit more in his first two seasons than Cripps did, certainly has more potential and looks like having more competition for his signature at this stage.
To get him for a third rounder would be daylight robbery.
 
I'd prefer we waited til he nominated us, rather than offer pick #24 in an attempt to outbid other clubs. Not worth it.

Gaff was taken two spots higher than Conca in 2010. How much do you think that actually effects trade value?

And I don't think Gaff has a serious edge in terms of performance to date. They've played roughly the same number of games - granted, Gaff probably made an impact more quickly because he had the endurance to slot straight in on a wing and get a shitload of uncontested footy. But I'm not sure that's particularly significant either.

Even if you argue that Gaff has his nose in front so far, I still think it's fair to say their trade value is roughly comparable. It's not like Gaff has put himself a mile ahead.

THat would surprise me, I've heard third hand from people know his family that he is saying up offers that would take him home, I couldn't see gws in the frame, tbh I couldn't see them interested given their depth of midfield emerging talent . Tall defenders and rucks will be on their shopping list

You can't downgrade Conca's value and increase Gaff's because of something that didn't happen.

The bottom line is that Gaff's performance hasn't put him so far in front to invalidate the comparison between him and Conca.

Don't go making comments like you really no when you clearly don't. Gaff cops a hard tag every week, even the commentators comment on it. conca on the other hand has never been tagged, so can't compare

That's absolute claptrap. Of course you can compare. Why argue otherwise?

Even allowing for the fact other teams work on limiting his influence, Gaff's performance hasn't been so impressive that you 'can't compare'. Do you understand what a comparison is? It doesn't require the two things being compared to be identical.

You could argue Gaff has his nose in front but that's not the same as blowing the comparison out of the water. The comparison is actually a pretty obvious one.

It's more a case of using Gaff as a benchmark to determine what you'd expect to give up for Conca.

I've read your posts and understood that you weren't putting forth a trade Gaff scenario.

I agree with your reasoning as to Conca's value. I hope Martin acts like a stubborn Karmichael in trying to get more than his share of the salary cap pie, for an opportunity may arise for WC to Ebert Richmond.

It'll likely have to be but a part of what WC offer. A player will likely have to be included. WC could offer up Smith, Rosa or McInnes. Rosa is someone, along with that 2nd rounder, who at least makes the offer reasonable. It gives Richmond someone who will perform pretty well immediately, as well as a useful early 2nd rounder.
If Richmond are really in a pickle, a 2nd rounder, Rosa or McInnes alone is what WC could put forward.

I think Gaff has shown marginally more than Conca, while having more room for for physical improvement. Gaff is also contracted until next year- but the threat of the PSD only really becomes effective for us if Conca's adamant on coming back to WA rather than looking for a big pay day (GWS).

Pick 24 would be a big coup for the club, within the realms of possibility if he says that he only wants to come back to WA.
6+24 for 11+Conca is probably closer to "fair" value.
 
Gaff has out-performed Conca to date. Dargie aside I don't think many people would disagree with that. He averages 21 disaposals a game compared to Conca's 17. That doesn't mean he will be in the future though. I could see Conca end up being the better player.
