Comparisons made elsewhere to Mervyn Keane were pretty accurate, especially the role he's playing at the moment.

Good to see him back in the side today. Did some useful things in the midfield and waarented his recall.

he needs to STAY in the midfield. 2nd in clearances for richmond today with 8, behind tuck who had 9. he's not a half back, he's a midfielder, dont waste talent.

Bit too short to draw comparisons to Mervyn Keane. I'd see him as a right footed Barry Rowlings that could develop into a Robert Wiley or Paul Broderick with slightly more legs speed. I don't know why he was dropped against Adelaide, but he was good against Melbourne. i think he will be a 250 game player for the tigers, and a good one at that.

could be molded into the midfield / resting goal sneak similar to Wiley.

wow, huge call that - 12 year plus career. Not impossible but i'd focus on shorter term goals. think he will be in the guts, similar role to Foley

Still giving away stupid free kicks but tracking nicely. He and Ellis will become 2 hard nut
midfielders everyone thinks we need. They just need more time.

He reminds me a bit of a poor mans matthew knights at the moment. And i don't think thats an insult either.

I do like the look of Reece! I reakon one of his standout attributes is his vision. Always seems to have thought through his next kick / handball before he has received the ball and puts his disposals in the right places.

He still has a fair bit of work to do, but i believe he will be a very good player for the Tigers for a long time.

cheers,

He's in his second year and I really like his progress...clean with his hands , neat disposal, composed and hard at it just quietly...with experience and some more size he will add a trick or two to the kitbag...really like where he and ellis are right now...if we can add another draft pick the ilk of these fellas then whoa....:thumbsu:

Should've never been dropped in the first place. Still boggles the mind.

Reece is tracking beautifully. Still has a lot of work to do as most 2nd year kids do but giving us some midfield depth averaging about 19 touches a game. Can't ask for much more. After a few more preseasons, a few kgs and another 50 games he will be a gun. I can't understand any criticism of him.

Reece was never dropped. Craig Cameron said both he and Batchelor needed an extra weeks rest after the bye.

Cameron said pre-game him and Batch were rested. Since we had the bye maybe they had some niggles and needed the extra week.

I agree with everything you said. Plus (and I've said this before) he tackles like someone much bigger. I can't really recall him getting brushed aside and seems to stick every tackle I see him go for, usually against bigger opponents too.

Looking forward to seeing him get some more midfield time next year. Is clearly a beautiful mix of outside and inside.

I think its important to give him some added responsibilty in the midfield along with Ellis.... These two players are going to be in our guts for along time.

Agreed ...mark my words conca is goin to be a gun and Ellis is goin to be one of the elite mids in the comp very soon..
