IMO, CFC will need a pick in or near the top ten if they want to avoid using it on Reef.

Based on his talent and potential Dave, I don't believe he will go as late as some are predicting.
There’s a lot of talent and potential in this draft. I think Reef’s lack of exposure as a midfielder works in our favour. He only got very limited time in the middle last year and I think when it comes to vic kids recruiters might look at the ones who have had consistent form in the role rather than what might have been a couple of flash in the pan games when the first choice mids were playing national champs.
I remember Maynard played midfield while Brayshaw wasn’t available in 2014. Absolutely dominated in there from memory, and won the Sandringham B&F, but Brayshaw went pick 2 while he drifted to 30 because of minimal exposure in the guts and lack of a tank (much like McInness too coincidentally).

I hope so.

Currently we have 14, no doubt it will get pushed back due to compo picks and matched bids etc. does anyone see a world in where we could potentially get two picks in (one for a player like Treloar, Phillips and then pick swaps) before a bid on Reef? I know it’s a long shot but that would be a pretty good haul.

No. I don't think we'll get full value for Treloar. I can see us getting pick 4 for Treloar and 14, maybe some steak knives thrown our way - something like that.

Misread that originally.

Nah doubt we off load him with our first rounder. Club surely aint that dumb.
I hope you're right, but I keep hearing about an overpaid bloke who isn't going to cope with being separated from his wife, yet is not willing to live in the same state as her. I suspect the club is responsible for part of that story. What's he worth?

Who is responsible for the story is totally irrelevant.
Whatever they both think they are most likely kidding themselves.
Intentionally parting yourself from your wife and new born child for possibly 2 years???
Of course the club is concerned.
Anyone with two operating brain cells would have alarm bells going off in their mind.

A top 10 and steak knives like a P.Wright level player or mid 2nd rounder imo.

Treloars a gun and 27 (28 in march) still plenty of good footy in him I reckon other coaches would use him better too and maximize his strengths.

I agree with you. I just don't think it's playing out in a way that will get us full value.

Skinfolds to put Stewie Dew to shame

Stewie didn’t look to have enough surplus skin to do a skin fold test when I saw him during the season. Maybe just the TV not flattering him.

Six players who registered top 10 times are also already aligned to AFL clubs, headlined by Western Bulldogs Next Generation Academy (NGA) member and consensus number one prospect, Jamarra Ugle-Hagan. Another NGA product, Reef McInnes (Collingwood) took full toll with a tailwind to notch a nation-wide fastest time of 2.78 seconds, remarkable considering his 193cm/86kg frame and the fact he is an inside midfielder.
